1. Access to VMC’s MyStayWell Platform:
a. Website: http://www.vmcwellness.com
b. If you do not yet have access, fill out the required information to create an account.
c. Be sure to download the My StayWell app on your mobile device through Google
Play or Apple App Store.

2. Completing the Health Assessment
a. Once you have your account set up, you’ll first be prompted to complete your health
assessment as you log in, which will take 8 to10 minutes.
b. Please note that if you do not know your biometric screening information, select “I
don’t know.” You will have a chance to manually fill in at another time under “Vitals” on
the dashboard. If you participated in an onsite biometric screening, or you submit via
the health care provider form, your data will be automatically added to your profile.
c. Review your health assessment recommendations to guide your health interventions
this year and best utilize the resources within the My StayWell platform.
d. You can always go back to view your
Health Assessment results and
recommendations by clicking under
your profile in the top righthand corner
of the homepage.

SWITCHING TEAMS: If you want to join a team or switch teams
later in the year, you can click the arrows icon at the top right of
the toolbar on the dashboard, and you’ll see a new team option.
This will direct you to the team selection page shown above.
From there you can select a new team.
Please note, if you switch teams during the year, you’ll be required to retake any sessions you completed on your first team.
1) Join a Team: Click JOIN and then you can select an available team
2) Auto Team: Can't find a team in your workplace? Click AUTO and we will build one for
you!
3) Team of One: Click SOLO to do the program on your own. Start a team of one today!
After reading your health assessment results and recommendations, you will be asked to
join a team. Select an option:

3. Selecting a Team
LEAVING A TEAM: If you want to leave a team, go to “Edit
Profile” under your account settings icon and select “Leave Team” to remove yourself from any of your current teams.

4. Home Dashboard
a. The dashboard houses general information about your current session, teammates,
program progress, and achievements. When in doubt, head to your dashboard!
b. Scroll through the banner for reminders and upcoming events.
c. Utilize the chat function in the bottom right-hand corner to connect with the StayWell
Customer Success team.

can sync all your wearable devices
directly with the platform. The platform
integrates with all major wearable
devices and apps, including Apple
Watch, Fitbit, Strava, and
MyFitnessPal.

5. Incentives
a. To see what activities and goals yield incentives as
well as your progress, click the orange trophy on the
left-hand side of the dashboard.
b. Click into each incentive to read a description and
understand the requirements.

Incentive Forms & Attachments: In some
instances, you will need to upload an
attachment before you can receive credit for
an incentive. To upload an attachment, click
into the specific incentive, and you will see a
field for where you can click or drag a file to
upload. For example, Preventive Screening
incentives require an upload of an image or
screenshot to prove that the screening was
completed.
Note: Self-report activities pertaining to the
MyHealth Clinic and Lifestyle Medicine
serviced programs (Healthy Foundations,
Lifestyle 365, and Diabetes Program /
Diabetes Prevention) are subject to a
monthly audit, at a minimum. Please be
aware that points will be removed if the clinic
is unable to validate your completion of the
activity or program.

a. Monthly sessions include content on a
wellness topic, as well as a quiz or game
to test your new knowledge. Session
material provides information to help you
on your journey to better health.
b. Every month, another session is unlocked,
allowing you to access the session
material, game or quiz, and goal tracking.

c. Earn 5 points toward Incentives for each
completed session, with a max of 30
points earned. Completion criteria
includes acknowledging you’ve reviewed
the material, completing the game or quiz,
and tracking progress in the monthly goal
calendar.
d. Access all available Session and E-
Learning material under the Resources tab
by selecting Curriculum.
6. Challenges
a. Challenge yourself and compete with the rest
of Valley to see who tops the leaderboard.
b. Manually input your daily steps, strength
training minutes, sleep, core strength
and flexibility training, meditation, and
fruit and vegetable servings on the
calendar. You can also sync your
personal activity tracker to the mobile
app to input your daily steps.
c. Utilize your weekly stats to track your
progress and celebrate success!
Challenge incentive points will
automatically be added to your profile
once the challenge is completed.
d. Not sure where to start with challenges?
Check out the leaderboard to see who
or which teams are doing well. Request
to join their team for ongoing motivation
or support, or challenge your own team
to keep up with them!

Step 1: From the dashboard, the participant can select the Coach option by clicking on the
coach photo.

Step 2: Participants will have two options: Messaging or Virtual Coach Visit

Step 3: After selecting Virtual Coach Visit, the participant will choose their health coach. All
available coaches for virtual chat will be displayed. The coach's name and bio will be shown to
the user.

Step 4: Once the Coach is selected, the participant will be prompted to select a date and time
for the call. Note: The time displayed is adjusted to reflect the participant's time zone.

Step 5: The participant will be prompted to register (this will be done through Calendly). To
register for the appointment, the participant will enter their name, email address, & telephone
number. A confirmation message notifies the participant that they’ve successfully booked a
virtual coach visit, and they will be offered an option to add the meeting to their outlook, g-mail,
or other calendar.

Step 6: Participants will also receive a confirmation email with the time and a description of the
coaching session. This email will come directly from Calendly to the participant to the email
address they used to register. If the user needs to reschedule or cancel their virtual session,
they can do so by clicking on the corresponding button.

Step 7: The coach will send a follow-up email to the user's email that contains the
Zoom information for their session (to comply with HIPAA).
Step 8: The coach will send reminder emails to the participant 24 hours (and 15 minutes) prior
to their scheduled call.
Cancelling a Session:
If a participant selects "cancel session,” they will see an overview of their currently scheduled
session. The user can provide a reason for cancelling the session by typing a description in the
text box. To finalize their cancellation, a user must select the "Cancel Event" button.
