(Feb 12, 2010)- Rep. Karen Boback will share “Things I Wish Knew Before Graduating College” on Feb. 18 when she speaks to members of Wilkes University’s National Society of Leadership and Success chapter, the Wilkes Leadership Institute, students, faculty, and staff. Bobeck’s talk will be from 11:30-1:00p.m.in the Henry Student Center ballroom at 84 West South St. Wilkes-Barre Pa 18704. Boback from Harvey’s Lake, Pa, was elected to run the 117 th district in Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 2006. She is widely recognized for her contributions to improving Pennsylvania’s education system and for her dedication to the community. The National Society of Leadership and Success is a nationally recognized leadership organization. Currently 223 colleges across the U.S. have chapters with a total membership just over 87,000. The Wilkes chapter started in 2006 and we currently have 499 members and 262 alumni. During her presentation she will discuss a wide range of topics including important things she’s learned that were not taught in the classroom. She also will discuss capitalizing on your strengths as well as the importance of current events and being knowledgeable about state, local, and world news.
