university or college• *Master’s degree program is recommended, but
not mandatory, though it will make you appear more attractive to future employers
• My own personal path is to duel major in K-12 Education and Library Science

• Protects the current and former Presidents, visiting foreign diplomats
• Suppresses counterfeiting U.S Currency• Carries out criminal investigations
Education and Training
• Each position in the Secret Service requires a different entry level set of requirements regarding education
• Having a basic college degree couldn’t hurt• Training required varies depending on position or
specific fieldMost intensive training takes place in Glynco, Georgia at
the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.This is followed by specialized training at the Secret
Service Training Camp outside D.C

• A strong sense of integrity• Must be a U.S citizen• Must pass a complete background check• Must be drug free and pass a physical and
psychological evaluation• Must pass a polygraph test• All applicants must be between the ages of 21-
37 years old.
