This is me before I started my MIST degree at CSUMB…

Before MIST, I lived a busy but calm life…

• Working full-time at DLI as a Secretary in the Persian-Farsi School

• Working part-time at Weight Watchers as a Leader

• Wife to an Army Captain • Stepmom to three beautiful

children

I’ve done a lot of things in my life like…

Lived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for 5 years when I was growing up… (I speak Portuguese)

Sang my heart out as a Lead Singer in a Rolling Stones cover band in college

Page 5: My MIST(y) Life

Ran my own dog exercising/pet sitting business for 5 years in Los Angeles

And…

Managed a large territory in Texas for Weight Watchers (I lost 68 pounds on the program 8 ½ years ago… YEA ME!!!)

BUT…

SOMETHING WAS MISSING…

• Deeper understanding of Adult Learning Styles and how to adapt training

• High level of comfort and extensive knowledge of technical systems for training

I wanted something more out of life and the MIST Program could deliver a…

So, I embarked on this new journey and added more hours of studying, collaborating, learning and thriving…

I may have a few more grey hairs; and less time to exercise, eat right and take care of myself…

But there’s always hair dye, plastic surgery and fast food drive-thrus!

And when I graduate from the MIST Program – I’ll be poorer but most definitely smarter!
