My land voyage from Rabat, Morocco to Kabul Afghanistan..

Introduction

• My family and myself have planned to make a trip from Rabat, Morocco to Kabul, Afghanistan in land so we can explore North Africa’s gorgeous and amazing physical features and culture.

• This what we learned and discover in this adventure.

Rabat, Morocco

• This is the city from where our adventure through North Africa starts.

• Rabat is the capital and the third largest city from the Kingdom of Morocco.

• It has a population of almost 650,000 people as I discover while I was visiting the National Archaeology Museum.

• Some places which I really enjoyed and highly recommend were the Royal Palace, the Parliament, and the Kasbah of the Udayas, very historical places.

• Morocco is a monarchy ruled by Mohammed VI.• Rabat has a nice Mediterranean climate which shifts from

cool in winter to warm days in the summer months. It goes from 28 C to 8 C.

• Finally, we took a train that took us to Algeria.

Algiers, Algeria• Algiers, our second destination, is the capital and largest city of Algeria with a

population of almost 4,000,000 people.

• Some really interesting monuments I visited where the Nortre Dame d’ Afrique, Monument des Martyrs, and the Great Mosque of Algiers.

• Algeria is a government ruled by President Abdelaziz Bouterflika now days.

• Algiers is an important economic, commercial and financial center which has the highest cost of living in North Africa.

• Our family and I happily transported ourselves through the city thanks to the ETUSA, a bus service.

• Finally, we left the country in a Murcielago, Lamborghini that my father rented to go directly to Libya.

Tripoli, Libya

• After a long and amazing journey going to Tripoli in the Murcielago, we saw something we didn’t expect.

• Libya was in a civil war against their dictator Ghadafi so when we entered Tripoli, a group of armed people threatened and stole from us our beautiful car. (At least we had the experience to be in a Lamborghini.)

• The short time I was in Tripoli, I learned that Tripoli is the largest city, the principal sea port, and the largest commercial and manufacturing centre in Libya.

• It has a population of approximately 1,500,000 people.

• Tripoli is a very historical place where I visited the old town of Medina and the Red Castle Museum.

• Finally, I could leave this country and get into Egypt by train.

Cairo, Egypt

• Cairo, the capital of Egypt, is the largest city in Africa and

the 16th most populous area in the world. • It has a population of almost 7,000,000 people and the

country is governed by a Military Junta controlled by Dr.

Abdul Azim Wazir. • Its climate is very hot in the day and very cold at night which

is common on desert areas.• Main sights that I visited in Cairo were the Egyptian

Museum, Old Cairo, important pyramids, and Tahrir Square.• Egypt base its economy on exports such as petroleum and

tourism because of the famous Egyptian pyramids.

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

• Our next stop was Riyadh which is the capital and the largest city in

Saudi Arabia located at the Arabian Peninsula. • It is home to almost 5,000,000 people and its economy I based on

petroleum.• Saudi Arabia is a monarchy controlled by Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz.• This country has a temperature of 25 C to 35 C which is very hot.• During our tour in Riyadh, we visited the National Museum of Saudi

Arabia where we learned much of its culture, religion, and history. After this boring museum, tired of Saudi Arabia, I ate a delicious Nejdi Kabsa which is the most traditional meal in Riyadh. This meal was pretty good.

• Finally, we took another train that will take us to Israel.

Jerusalem,Israel

• After a wonderful trip going to Israel we finally arrived at its capital, Jerusalem.

• Jerusalem is Israel’s largest city with a population of about 800,000 people.

• It is considered one of the most sacred cities of the world with a population almost all Jewish.

• Its climate varies from coldest 9 C to 24 C the hottest.• Israel is controlled by a three-tier court system.• There I ate Cholent which I pretty like maybe because I

was starving, but I am not sure the exact reason.• After several days of fun, we rented a very cheap car

because of lack of money and drove directly to Iraq.

Baghdad, Iraq

• After an uncomfortable journey to Iraq, we finally arrived at its capital Baghdad.

• Baghdad has a population of 7.5 million people and is considered the largest city in the Arab World.

• It’s temperature is about 22 c which is neither cold or hot.

• Sadly, Baghdad is in some parts destructed because of the war against Iran.

• The economy is based on oil exports and in agriculture.• Finally, our family and I took a train to our final

destination, Kabul, Afghanistan.

Kabul, Afghanistan

• It is called the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.• In past studies it is known that over 98% of the

population is Muslim.• Afghanistan is a republic governed by Hamid Karzai.• Kabul has a temperature that varies from -10 c to 27 c.• After a long tour around the city Kabul and others, I discover

that this country is very poor and has economic problems.• Kabul has a population of about 2.8 million people.• Some places I really recommend to visit are the Afghan

National Museum, Darul Aman Palace, and the Mausoleum of Emperor Babur.

The journey ends

• This journey through North Africa is the best and most amazing trip I have ever being. Now my family and myself are planning in exploring the huge country of Russia which we expect to defeat this journey. I hope you do this trip because I know you will really enjoy it.
