MINECRAFT IS GOOD

Minecraft, The world’s biggest sandbox...

Minecraft has unlimited

potential. It is the world’s biggest sandbox game.

FOR KIDS.

Have you played Minecraft, one of the best games in the world? Minecraft is an amazing game made out of blocks. You can break and place the blocks to create structures. Some blocks give you special resources to create tools to break blocks faster, make it easier to adventure, and kill monsters to earn items. The only limit is your imagination when it comes to building. Random terrain appears when you create a world, some look natural, some look like out of this world. You can climb the highest mountain, Journey to the deepest cave, Swim in a giant ocean, and explore a huge forest. You can build anything if you have enough blocks. At night, you can forge the strongest weapons you can, and battle the dangers of the night. You can play with friends on an online server and create your own community. This is the world’s biggest and most sophisticated sandbox you'll ever set foot in. With no rules to follow, no one can tell you what or what not to do on this everlasting adventure. Many fifth graders at The American School In Japan (ASIJ) enjoy playing Minecraft.

A fifth grader named Ira, says “ It’s cool because you get to think about things you normally don’t think about. You can be creative.” Another 5th grader named Noah says, “ I like it because it’s a world of education, brilliant ideas, creativity, and it’s one of the funnest games I’ve played in my life. My mom usually doesn’t let me play games when I have a lot of homework. But one night, she played Minecraft multiplayer on the I touch with me for almost an hour,” says Noah. A survey done by a fifth grade class at ASIJ has results that out of the twenty people who submitted, 20% rated it ten. 10% rated it nine. 15% rated it eight. 10% rated it seven. 10% rated it five. 5% rated it three. 10% rated it two. 15% rated it one. That’s how popular Minecraft is. And to top it all, seventeen of the twenty people have played it. Minecraft has amazing graphics, astounding landscapes, and cool worlds. Best of all, Minecraft is so simple a kid can figure it out without their parents. And is secure because to sign in, you must have a password. You don’t have to worry about inappropriate, or bad things on Minecraft because it doesn’t have swears, it’s educational, and it’s fun. This great game will grant you hours of fun and entertainment!

Minecraft many not seem like a learning game at first, but Minecraft can, and is used in classes. A teacher at Manhattan's Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School uses Minecraft for his classes. He says, "l chose Minecraft specifically because it's so open-ended. The game presents you with a huge open world and you can do any of a dozen different preset activities. Or you can go off and create your own content. That alone gives me a ton of freedom to invent content for the kids to engage in. I don't let them just play the game however they want. They must follow a path I lay out for them, which allows me to carry out lesson plans." (Information from ars technica.com) Minecraft can be used in classes and it’s helpful, and it makes the kids long for school. And, Minecraft has agreed to make a 50% off deal if you’re going to use it for educational reasons. What a awesome way to make learning fun!

Minecraft helps kids in education, learning, and creativity.MINECRAFT Minecraft is a safe, entertaining, educational, social, and creative game. You can create amazing houses if you collect the correct elements. You can play it for hours; there is no way to “win” Minecraft, so you can play forever. Some educational properties it has are: It helps geometry because sometimes, other items are not made of cubes, so, you can learn the basic geometry.

And for math, when you dig out a certain pit, you can find out if it’s six by six by three (Deep, wide, and high) or it’s a five be five by four pit. More things that help you in math are crafting items. Crafting items can help in teaching basic math which can turn into small multiplication. So,If need three paper pieces and 1 leather for a book, and three books for a bookshelf, so I need nine paper and three leather all together. It can also turn into division, such as... I get three at once, so nine/three = three times per each bookshelf, I'll have to create more papers.

Another thing you can learn are social skills. If you set up a server so only friends can join, then you can set up a peaceful working virtual community. Also, you can do in game text chat so you can communicate.

With multiplayer, you can explore, play, and work together virtually. Multiplayer especially improves teamwork together. Music wise, there are redstone noteblocks that will make different sounds when you hit them. Therefore teaching you about chords, and octaves. Minecraft even benefits in reading because you sometimes have to check your inventory for items and some items have long names. And for older kids, they can check the Minecraft Wiki for information and improve their skills reading at the same time. Lastly, Minecraft can help build basic computer circuitry with redstone circuits that you can set up to create things. And when you make a mistake creating it, it doesn’t destroy the equipment you used.

As you can see all over this article, Minecraft is a safe, creative, educational game, that will benefit you, and other people. Minecraft is a great game that can help, and be fun at the same time! So, next time you want a cool, interesting game, that’s good for you too, play Minecraft!

As you can see all around this article, minecraft has astounding worlds that will spawn randomly. You can spend hours of time exploring deep ravines, high mountains, and dark caves. Because anything is possible in Minecraft, as long as you have the imagination and the creativity to think of it...
