thestory of Baby an 17-year-old little girl who lovesher daddy and
wants to save the world, onestarving Southeast Asian country at a
time. Whilevacationing at a ritzy summer resort with herfamily,
Baby meets Johnny Castle a danceinstructor who teaches the mambo by
day anddoes his own kind of dancin by night. She isinstantly
attracted to him. When Baby takes arisk to help out one of Johnnys
friends, therebegins a powerful romance, one that must behidden
from both the girls father and the resortowner. 4. There is quite a
lot of non-verbalcommunication in this scene. I see this through
the main characters(Babyand Johnny) body language. They aredancing
closely to each other so they aretherefore very comfortable with
each other. Their posture shows that they are proud tobe with each
other as they are not hunchedover. Their facial expressions and eye
contactshow that they are happy as they are smilingat one another,
also they keep looking at oneanother. 5. Thisscene is set at the
very end of the movie. It is set in the main dance or function
room. 6. There is a natural lighting in this scene. It is quite dim
as is the usual for a functionlike this. Also, there is a spotlight
on the maincharacters when they go up onto the stage. 7. The
costumes that the main characters useare very contrasted as Baby
wears a plainwhite dress, which symbolises her purity. Johnny is
dressed all in black to show that heis more tough. Also, when the
staff dance up the aisles theyare just wearing jeans while the
guests arewearing elegant cocktail dresses and suits. 8. There is
an establishing shot at the verybeginning, where it sweeps over the
dancehall. There is a long shot of Baby and Johnny whenthey are
standing on the stage, when theyare dancing and when the big lift.
There is a medium shot when they aredancing also, and when they are
facing eachother. 9. There is a close up on Baby when she is onthe
stage and when Johnny jumps off, thisshows her happiness and
delight. At the very last moment of the movie thereis a high angle
as it shows all the people,staff and guests dancing. 10.
