1. Draw a picture of each family member in the frames on the “Family Photos” sheet.

-Include: GRANDPARENTS, PARENTS, SIBLINGS, YOURSELF

2. Be sure to use color.3. Cut out photos.

4. Paste onto paper

-be sure to put Grandparents at the top,

parents in the middle,

and children on the bottom

6. Connect marriages and children

7. Write a brief comment next to each picture highlighting each family members’ POSITIVE QUALITIES or ACCOMPLISHMENTS.

-don’t just put “nice” or “cool” for everyone really think about a unique positive quality for each person on your tree

EXAMPLE: “very friendly and social, lots of friends, a very hard worker, has a very strong faith, very organized, strong physically and mentally, very self-disciplined, has a very strong mindset, always shows a positive attitude”

***You don’t have to write a comment about yourself!***

8. Draw a STAR next to each quality that also describes you.

you will probably not have them all starred, and that is ok!

9. Write down a FAMILY TRADITION somewhere on the paper that you and your family do together

Traditions can be big yearly events such as vacations and holidays or they can be smaller weekly things like brunch on Sundays or opening day of hunting with Dad

What happens if I have step parents or step siblings???

• IF they are a part of your life include them. • If you don’t know them/never met them, you

do not have to include them.• Put the people who you consider to be your

family.

-Grandpa died, Grandma remarried Vick-Mom and Dad divorced-Both remarried-S.Dad and Mom had daughter together, then divorced-S.Dad had a daughter alreadyS.Mom had a son already
