My Ambition
My father is a teacher, both of my sisters are teachers-to-be, so I would
like to be a teacher too in the future. Being the daughter of a teacher, I am
deeply influenced by my daddy, from his teaching styles to his behavior
towards the students in school. I have always admired my daddy for being
loved by his students, because he is a responsible and caring person.
A teacher does not necessary have to be overly strict towards the
students. As long as he or she is firm enough with their own principles, the
students will listen and respect to them. So, I wish to become a teacher who is
being respected and loved by my students.
Besides that, teacher is a person who builds the nation. I will teach the
poor children without any charge. I would teach them the subjects with real
and deep information. And of course, first of all, I will have to know their
backgrounds so that I can help them with all my might. Some of the students
might not have the intelligence to study well in all the subjects. So I have to
identify their talents so that they can success in their life in another way too,
but not only emphasize on academics.
I like to play with small children too. I love to see their smiles because
they are innocent. I hope to pass on my positive thinking and attitude to my
students so that they can behave well and become a good person in life. Even
though they will be quite naughty sometimes and can be described as “evil
fairy” too, but I hope I can manage them well with all my care and love. I will
also seek help and information about ways in class management and child
care tips from my dad who has almost 30 years of experience of being a
teacher.
Last but not least, I want to become a teacher because of the long
school holiday. If I become a doctor or an engineer, I would not have the
chance to enjoy the long term school holiday every year. That is the best
benefit of being a teacher where I can travel to many places without applying
leaves. And according to my dad, teacher is a guaranteed job and as Chinese
always said, “being a teacher is like having a full bowl of rice each day”.
