The BMX 1001 bypass detector is based on the standard de-tector types OMX 1001C or OMX 1111C (with single detectoridentification). The difference of BMX 1001 is its specialsensitivity for monitoring exhaust air and climatic ducts. Air probes are permanently taken from the monitored ductvia a pipework and routed to the bypass detector, which isinstalled at the outside of the service duct.

Thus, in case of fire e.g. fire protection dampers can betriggered to prevent spreading of fire and smoke.

The bypass detector BMX 1001 isused in building service ducts, airconditioning and ventilating tech-nology as well as for monitoringexhaust air and climatic ducts. Itunlocks fire flaps and switches offthe air conditioning.
