How’s your humility? As you prepare for worship, consider your attitude
this past week. Have you sought to reflect the mind of Christ?
Allow the Holy Spirit to prepare your mind for worship this morning.

• Jr. High (grades 6-8) meet in the Youth Building Rm 4 for The MSG.
Both groups dismissed after the Childen’s Moment.
Jr. High/Pipeline meets Wednesdays 6:00-7:45 pm

Next Week
People have been walking the PCH Highway a long time.
Some of those men and women serve as an inspiration for
the rest of us. What kind of person inspires you to live out
your faith? In Philippi, two people who stood out were
Timothy and Epaphroditus. They belonged not in the “Hall
of Fame” but in the “Hall of Faithful.” Join us as we ex-
plore what made these two men stand out as examples of
PCH disciples.
We only have one worship service on campus at 10:00 am during the summer.
Every Sunday in July We are having an informal
Worship Service at 8:30 am at “The Village” in Dos Vientos.

The Apostle Paul in Philippi
Paul stayed for several days trying to contact the Jews living in Philippi.
Because of its military character, it’s possible that there was no Synagogue
as they were banned from gathering in the city.
On the Sabbath Paul decides to leave the walled city through a “gate beside a
river” where they thought there was a place for prayer. Some women were
gathering there so Paul talks to one called Lydia who was a dealer in purple
fabric. She came from the city of Thyatira in Asia Minor. Lydia responded to
what Paul told her and was baptized along with her household. This would
have been the first Christian conversion in Europe. At the spot where it as-
sumed that Lydia was baptized, a small church has been erected.

Men’s Luncheon Wednesday, July 11 & July 25 at Noon This is a new group that is gathering. All men invited to share lunch and fellow-ship in the fellowship hall at Monte Vista. Lunch is provided and everyone makes a donation to pay for the lunch.

Vacation Bible School July 16-20 9am-noon - only one week away Registration is open for VBS this summer. Forms online, in the narthex, and in the office.
Christmas Trees needed for VBS!! If you have a Christmas tree we could borrow for VBS please contact Mary Nelsen at 498-8213. We need to create a forest for the National Park theme.
Surf Camp July 24-26 9am-2:30pm Flyers available in the church office.
PCH Prayer Groups (every Sunday and Monday) Join us in the Choir Room on Sundays at 9:00 am and in the Youth Room on Mondays at noon. We meet for about 90 minutes.
