Multistage pumps in multioutlet design can be fittedwith a random number of discharge connections. Thepumps are predominantly used in fire fightingapplications to serve different pressure zones withdifferent pressure levels.Multioutlet configurations are available for allhorizontal and vertical MP designs.

Pumps with more thanone discharge

Vertical close coupled pumps withTechnovarTechnovar is a programmable pump controlsystem which incorporates a frequency inverter aswell as control logic and is directly attached tothe pump motor.Power range: from 2.2 to 22 kWWall mounted version up to 45 kWEasy handling and installation, no separate panelrequired.Technovar is able to control pressure, differentialpressure or flow.

1. Constant pressure controlPump stops immeditaley at zero flow.

2. Following a system curveWithout using any different devices the Technovarwill adjust the speed of the motor to follow a presetand programmable system curve. System pressure isincreased depending on the actual flow rate.

3. Constant flow controlThe sensor used can be either a flow meter or adifferential pressure transmitter in combination withan orifice plate. Technovar can be set according to thetype of sensor used and will keep the flow rate in thesystem constant.

Direct controlShould a super-posed control system be installed,Technovar's frequency inverter can still be used, even though its other functions are closed down.

External communicationTechnovar can communicate with up to four pumpswith the help of an RS 485 interface. Again the systemis self-sufficient without the need of additional equip-ment:

– automatic cycling– starting/stopping of pumps according to system– changing of pumps in case of a failure
