BUZZ-USBBuzz-USB is a high definition digital video and audio USB recorder that can record up to five individual HD/SD-SDI video signals on to 5 individual USB drives. It has been designed in co-operation with users to provide a simple, quick and officiant way of capturing HD video and embedded audio to MPEG4 files for production directors, streaming, compliancerecordings and even security applications.

Flexibility and capability

Buzz-USB a highly flexible USB recorder that incorporates multichannel capability in a compact and lightweight 1RU chassis that can accommodate up to five recorders. When used for sport production, it is brilliant for sport or studios and just press the record buttons to record five different versions of a feed such as a clean feed, a dirty feed, a directors feed, a coaches feed and an official’s feed. Simply press the stop button when you’re done and your USBs are ready within seconds. The auto sensing inputs allow you to record HD-SDI or SD-SDI with embedded audio directly to a USB drive whilst the looping HD/SD-SDI output allows users to make up to five copies of the recording by inter connecting a (looped) output digital video cable between each record channel. Alternatively use the X-Y router option to select up to eight different signals to any USB. The H264 codec ensures high quality recordings encoded as MP4 files with impressive video and audio quality. The GUI provides adjustable bit rate so that users can optimise the quality of recording.

Buzz-USB is a highly affordable, versatile and compact USB recorder. It’s modular design means that you can start with a single USB recorder and add up to 4 additional USB channels or buy it pre-equipped with up to five recorders, according to production requirements. USB recording system, not just a box!

Buzz-USB is a complete recording system with an optional monitoring bridge which has five 2.8” high quality, picture monitors, each of which can display signal format and audio meters and, there’s a headphone socket for confidence monitoring. In addition there’s a UMD and tally option which has fixed UMD source identification and dynamic red and green tally lights so that users know exactly which video signal is on air. The X-Y switcher option has eight input signals and four outputs allowing users to do individual recordings or multiple copies.
