Job description: Low Voltage: Assuring all MEP installations as of high quality and inline with the specifications, approved drawings, and material submittals.Monitoring actual MEP work progress and assuring MEP works from first to final fix are being carried out and completed on time with respect to the look ahead programs.Constant updating of progress through Daily or Weekly monitoring sheets for Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing installations as per actual condition on site.Check all access and clearance for safe working condition. Monitor all site operatives regarding safety regulations, continually checking of temporary electrical installations, contractor’s tools, condition of cables, cable trip hazards and tidiness of installations.

Monitor drawing / material / work conformances with provisions as per specification / DEWA & Civil Defence regulations. 

Check the activities on site and provide the necessary reminders to the Construction Lead, MEP Director and the Planning Engineer for any immediate action.

Supervise the production of co-ordination drawings to ensure that all services are coordinated with each other and the building structure is complying with the contract requirements.

Follow up the status of material and shop drawings and keep all parties informed of the status and follow up the implementation of the consultant’s comments in timely manner.

Distribute detailed information, documents and regulations as applicable to all concerned parties and ensure their acknowledgement and adherence to its contents.

Coordinate with sub-contractors, MEP engineers, Civil site Engineers and Construction Manager to obtain clearance before starting the work to ensure smooth and efficient execution of work.

Provide Technical support and solve all Site technical issues to ensure completion of Projects within the stipulated time.

Installation of project specialist lighting works. This includes managing a team of engineers and electricians, raising purchase requisitions, reconciliation of materials, coordinating with lighting designer/supplier for both supply and T&C process etc.

At project close out co-ordinate the production of as built drawings to ensure they are delivered as per the contract requirements in terms of quality and time.

ELV(Extra Low Voltage): On site installation of the ELV Systems. Maintaining network with a special focus on the Structured Cabling of Fire Alarm, Voice Evacuation ,Gas Suppression system, CCTV Security /Access Control, Building Management Systems, Car Park Management System,Back Ground Music system,Guest Room Control System,Vehicle access control.

Preparation and review of tender documentation. Working as a Project Engineer / ELV Project Coordinator. Generally responsible for implementations and monitoring of ELV related works at site. Estimates prepares and assigns the resources such as manpower, materials, consumables,

equipment and tools etc., required for all electrical and related works prior to execution. Plans and analyses all possible construction methodologies and recommends the best options

to the Project Manager for approval prior to execution at site. Coordinates with Client / Consultant’s representatives for any site instructions and inspection of

works.

Submits site daily reports, inspection requests, estimates and all applicable monitoring reports on regular basis or as required. Supports the Project Manager in accomplishing all the goals and targets for the electrical groups at site. 

Ensures that all the works done are in accordance with the approved construction drawings, contract documents, project specifications, and all applicable standards.

Execution and supervision of project activities such as drawings, submittals, procurement, follow-ups, manpower handling, installation, commissioning, handing over etc. 

Reviewing of weekly progress of works and forwarding the same to the main contractor. Performing inspection for materials delivered by different suppliers, sub contractors and client. Preparing cost proposals for Variation works. Ensure that the project sub contractor works are carried out in accordance with the

specifications & approved drawings, agreed procedure and method statements. Monitoring close out of snags raised by the consultant.

Lighting & Control System: On-site Installation and commissioning of Light fixture and Lighting control systems. Investigating problems, troubleshooting, liaising with installations Engineers and Technicians.  Monitoring Installation & Commissioning of Light Fixture and Lighting control system. Supervision material and installation according to the material appraisal approved MS,

consultant comments and approved drawing. Flow up progress according to the schedule planning for all subcontractors. Coordinate between the different subcontractors. Coordinate with other departments. Carry out all the snagging work Attending Technical Commissioning meeting / Presentation & Discussion. Attend the inspection with consultant and rectify all the comments with the subcontractor Preparation of O&M Manuals. Providing full Technical Support to the Installation team in the Site. Review all the AS-built

Supervision: Supervising and inspecting the site work progress. Review Shop drawing, Method of Statement, Material submittal. Progress report, Field Change Notice/Request for Information. Liaise with other site engineers. Conduct material inspection for delivered materials at site. Raising safety issues with the Safety Officer. Witnessing of testing and verification of ELV systems. The site conditions are properly addressed in the as-built drawings. Site activities to ensure quality of work is in compliance with good construction practices
