More than 1,000 engines and Power- Packs from MTU are in service in the British Isles. Between now and 2019 this figure is to rise to more than 1,500 with the introduction of the IEP high- speed trains and other new rolling stock. MTU offers manufacturers and operators of rail vehicles innovative and proven drive, automation and service solu- tions. In high-speed trains between London and Wales, in Northern Ireland’s regional trains and in a night train in Scotland: Wherever there are tracks in the British Isles, MTU rail drive systems deliver the power for locomotives and railcars.
