ADMISSION REQUIREMENTSInternational applicants are evaluated for admission based on the following criteria:
Academic performance
English language proficiency
UndergraduateAn official language score with minimum TOEFL iBT scores of 61; paper-based, 500; IELTS 5.5; ITEP 3.6. MTSU also accepts completion of ELS level 110 or IEI Level 5
GraduateAn official language score with minimum TOEFL iBT scores of 71; paper-based, 525; IELTS 6.0; MTSU also accepts UMELI scores of 85 or completion of ELS level 112
Standardized tests
Undergraduate (not required)An official ACT minimum score of 22 or an SAT scores of 1,020
GraduateAn acceptable GRE or GMAT scores may be required for some graduate programs.
All international applicants must demonstrate documented sources of financial support.

Located near Nashville—Music City USAThe MTSU campus is located in the city of Murfreesboro, just south of Nashville, and the city is widely known as the most livable city in the fastest-growing region in Tennessee. The Jennings A. Jones College of Business is one of the largest in the nation, with more than 3,600 majors, including M.B.A., Accounting Information Systems, M.B.E., and a Ph.D. in Economics.
Our Aerospace program is one of the nation’s finest and has a fleet of 37 airplanes equipped with the latest technology.

SIGNATURE PROGRAMS
International Scholarships MTSU awards merit-based scholarships of US$4,000, US$8,000, and US$16,000 annually to new first-year, transfer, and graduate students with a 3.25 Grade Point Average (GPA) or above. Applicants are automatically considered upon submission of an application. These scholarships are renewable annually.
