Bulk Payment Account

• A payment made to many numbers/subscribers at the same time/once.

• A Bulk Payment line is applied for from MTN.

• These transactions can only be performed on web interface authorized by MTN.

• Each transaction goes for a cost of UShs 390/=

• A bulk payment line does not earn commission.

N.BOnly customers registered on MTN Mobile Money can receive payments through bulk payments.


Effecting a Bulk Payment.

• Develop excel file of details for bulk payment: • Details

• H- Header

• R- Reference/Record

• T- Total /Sum

• 500252000019984 – Agent Account Number

• 20091203 – Current date of payment

• 3 - Sequence Number

• TTY050 – Constant for every reference

• Amount to be paid

• Names – unique identifier

• 4 Empty columns

• Payment Date for all clients

• Reason

The manually generated file must be saved in a CSV comma delimited format


• Agent logs on to the mobile money link https://mobilemoney.mtn.co.ug/indexCAH.html

• Agent enters login Name and Till Number.

(These are provided together with the card)

• After logging on, the system generate a web login code on the screen.




• The agent waits for the prompt on his phone to enter the WEB Screen number that appears on the

computer Screen, then enters the User ID and the MM Pin.



• Upload Payroll file onto Mobile Money web page to effect payments.



• Browse the file name where it was saved

• Fill in the overall total amount.



• Your file will be uploaded



• Check your statement to see if the balance has reduced.



• Down load the file to view the result data



• Indicate the payment date


• Select the file name you uploaded





Note:

• Effect the transaction

• The system effects the transaction and automatically calculates the required fee.

• The system will not upload a file with a name more than 20 characters.

PAYING BILLS


Paying Bills

• Paying Bills is a Menu on a subscriber line that enables a customer make

various payments. These can be utility bills, Paying TVs, School Fees, and for

other goods and services.

• A customer goes to the Pay bill Menu under Mobile Money and selects the

service he wants to pay for and follow s prompts. This is because there is a

slight difference when a customer is making payments.

• Paying School fees and the Goods and Services Menu will require entering

the School Code or the Code of the Company you are making the payment to.

The customer must therefore be aware of this Code which is normally provided

by the School/Company

avoid the inconvenience of disconnection and reconnection.

Luzira, Bbiina and Kinawataka.
