15th Annual Dermoscopy Intermediate Course

Dermoscopy permits the observer to visualize skin structures located below the stratum corneum that are not visible to the unaided eye. The morphology visualized through dermoscopy has led to improve clinical diagnostic accuracy with increased sensitivity and specificity for the detection of cutaneous malignancies. Equipment will be available for hands-on practice and demonstrations for attendees throughout the day.

This is a very popular course and will likely sell out; early registration encouraged. Register by July 31 for early rates.

2nd Annual Basic Course in Reflectance Confocal Microscopy: Non-Invasive Diagnosis of Skin Cancer

Reflectance Confocal Microscopy (RCM) is a non-invasive device that images skin lesions at high resolution in vivo, similar to traditional pathology. This course will help attendees develop familiarity with the basic principles and terminology of RCM. Attendees will learn how to differentiate routinely encountered benign cutaneous neoplasm from malignant neoplasm and integrate RCM in their routine clinical workflow. This course is tailored for both novices and clinicians within 3 years of practicing RCM in clinics. This will be an interactive course with lecture style teaching supplemented by hands-on training with renowned, national and international RCM expert faculty.

Space is very limited for this course; early registration encouraged. Register by July 31 for early rates.

Transforming Dermatology in the Digital Era

The purpose of this course is to provide clinicians, scientists, and students with an overview of the ways that exciting progress in imaging technologies and computer science combined with changes healthcare delivery will impact the future of dermatology. There will be ample time for questions and discussions throughout the sessions.

Course details and registration will be available online soon.

Contemporary Management of Complex Skin Cancers

The purpose of this course is to provide the attendee with a multidisciplinary management approach for patients with skin cancer, including basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, merkel cell carcinoma, melanoma and other complex skin cancers. The topics will focus on advances in epidemiology, pathology and imaging, medical and surgical management and radiation therapy. Complex skin cancer cases will bepresented and discussed in a tumor board style with a multidisciplinary panel of experts.

Includes a Reflectance Confocal Microscopy Workshop.Register by August 9 for early rates.

Systemic anticancer therapies (cytotoxic chemotherapies, targeted therapies, immunotherapies) have resulted in remarkable improvements in patient survival. Despite this remarkable success, the majority of patients will develop toxicities of various organ systems, which may impact overall health and activities of daily living, resulting in inconsistent antineoplastic therapy, all of which may affect clinical outcome. Therefore, prevention and management of untoward events is critical for the maintenance of quality of life and the optimization of anticancer therapies.
