Manard, bmanard@boone.k12.ia.us,  515-433-0750  Date  of  Event:  3/8/2014  Purpose  of  Event:    Summary  of  Event:   On Saturday, March 8, thirty-four students from the Boone Middle School Bands participated in the South Central Iowa Bandmasters Association Middle School Solo and Ensemble Contest held at Norwalk Middle School. The following rating system is used. A III designates a Fair performance; a II, a Good performance; a I is an Excellent performance and a I+ signifies a Superior performance. His solo was entitled “Andante and Allegro” by Andre Chailleux. All students study with Rose Kundel, Boone band director. Smith, a Sacred Heart school student, also studies with Mr. Dennis Greenfield, Sacred Heart music teacher.
