Mrs. Boggs’ Newsletter October 23-27, 2017 What Did We Learn? Literacy: We learned letters Nn and Aa. We brainstormed words with these letters in them. We glued numbers on N and alphabet on A. We sang the alphabet song, read Spookley the Square Pumpkin, 10 Timid Ghosts, and Ten Little Ghosts. Math: We practiced counting and colors. We did our shape and color activities using our HWT books. We sang our shape song, and color farm song. We did simple addition and number writing rhymes. Science: We explored pumpkins and gourds. We explore the Harvest Barn Fun Farm. Language: We sang lots of songs, rhymes, and discussed new vocabulary words from Spookley the Square Pumpkin. Fine Motor: We practiced writing names. We made N’s with sticks and A’s with playdough, and did HWT book activities. Study: We learned about pumpkins and Halloween. Next Week: We will review all of the letters we’ve learned. We will begin our building study.
