We need TISSUES!! If you are able to donate a box or 2 to the classroom it would be GREATLY

appreciated!! What’s Happening In Class? 

Reading: Students will be working on comparing and contrasting 2 texts. This is a great skill that

students will need to practice for AZ Merit.

Math: Our new unit is on data and graphing. Students are learning to read and create bar graphs,

tally charts, pictographs, and line plots. :)

AZ Merit is coming soon!! Students will need headphones next Tuesday!

Tips to Support Your Child:

★ Parents! Parents! Parents! ★ It is so important to have your student spend time reading at home. Putting in that

extra effort to read at home will dramatically increase fluency and comprehension. Last week only 7 students used myOn to practice reading outside of school hours. During conferences I

spoke to all parents about having their student use myOn, please require your student to use it. Students will not use it if you do not make it an expectation. Students who have been using myOn at home will be recognized for putting in the extra effort to become better readers. (Note: I understand that some families do not have the technology needed to access MyOn.

AZ Merit Testing Dates: ● April 10th- writing ● April 17-20- reading and math ● Please do your best to make sure your child is here on time each of these days. Please do 

not schedule appointments during these dates.
