Work History

October 2014 to Present Project Manager & Electrical Estimator – Commelec, Perth.I am currently employed as a project manager, after working for 8 months as the senior estimator at Commelec. My current duties are:

• Estimation – construction and office fit-out projects up to $750k.• Business development – Through the introduction of new clients in existing sectors,

to the structuring of a 24 hour maintenance service.• Building of a Labour force – From my employment in 2014, having 1 van and 2

electricians, to our current levels of 5 vans and 12 electricians.• Development of procurement and Estimation systems – The introduction of Espro

estimation software and Simpro estimation & scheduling software. • Project Management – Procurement of materials, Monthly application for payments

& Invoicing (on MYOB), day to day scheduling of labour and the management of project RFI's.

April 2014 to October 2014 Business Development Manager - Electcraft Power, PerthI was approached by Electcraft Power in 2014, to help develop growth into new sectors. This was require due to the company having 96% of their income stream being generated by Western Power. My duties whilst working at Electcraft Power included:

• Development of new sector clients - HV preventative maintenance, Office fit-out, Network infrastructure.

• Development of new technologies introduce to the company's capabilities - Voltage Optimisation, Thermographic surveys.

• Product development - M.E.P.S (monitored emergency power system). design, costing, procurement, construction of prototype panels and direct sales.

• Development of new business strategy – formed the start up of Electcraft Hire and Secured a long term hire contract within BP (Kwinana), with a value of $1m (over 4 years).

• Estimation – construction and office fit-out projects up to $200k.• Website development, Company branding, production of company marketing

material (Including Capability Statement).• Development of procurement and Estimation systems (for both construction and HV

departments). Due to a drastic reduction in Western Power works, Electcraft Power made a number of recent redundancies, including my position. October 2012 to March 2014 Project Manager/General Manager - Wilco Electrical, PerthI started work at Wilco Electrical as a Project Manager / Estimator. In December 2013 I was promoted to General Manager.My duties whilst working at Wilco Electrical included:

Client - Balfour Beatty PLCAlexandra Park School, Harringay, London - Construction of new 6th form block, various existing room refurbishments and the installation of a new CAT6 IT systemThese works included containment to the whole facility, Fibre optic backbone wiring, CAT6 structured wiring throughout the facility, lighting control and energy harvesting systems, Lighting & Power installation, Mains distributions, Periodic and installation testing, CCTV, Fire alarms, HVAC, Lightning protection, Security system, AV systems.Contract value = £1.2m

June 2006 to October 2012 Senior Electrical Contracts Manager / Owner - Pinewood Contractors Ltd, London Overall responsibility of running the company as well as estimation, tender submittal, procurement, managing electrical installation and testing works. The company worked on projects in the Commercial and Schools sector. I gained N.I.C.E.I.C registration in January 2009 and held the position of the Qualifying Supervisor.

June 1994 to June 2006 Electrical Contract Manager / part-owner - Pinewood Electrical Ltd, London I started as an electrician and worked my way up via promotions to an Electrical Contract Manager. The position required the managing of up to twenty operatives, working under my direct supervision. The works consisted mainly of Shop-fitting and BMS Systems (Business Maintenance Systems) on sites such as The Natural History Museum, Hemel Hempstead Hospital, Midland Banks and Wimbledon Tennis Courts.

June 1992 to June 1994 Electrician - Morgan Cass LtdI started at Morgan Cass as an Electrical Improver after just finishing my Electrical Exams. I gained experience working alongside more experienced Electricians, working up to being able to work independently. The work was predominantly hospitals within the London area.
