• 1) a set of native Tagalog numbers (originally from Malay), • 2) a set of numbers from the Spanish.

• The Tagalog numbers are used for counting objects, things, people and money, as well as with weights, while the Spanish numbers are used for telling the time and occasionally when counting money.

• Many people use a mixture of the two systems.

Now that you can count one to nine in Tagalog, we can look at counting to one hundred. The Tagalog word for ten is PU.

We use the Tagalog for one to nine, use the connector NA in the middle, then append with PU. • For example, Ten is One of Ten and so we say it as ISA
