About MPDS Pty Ltd

MPDS was established in 2010 as an independent company offering a full range of

services in Underbalanced Drilling (UBD) and Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) for

Oil, Gas and Geothermal Drilling in the Asia Pacific region.

MPDS s principals have a combined industry engineering and operating experience

of over 80 years and are conversant with current safety, legislative and industry best

practices. This ensures MPDS provides cost effective and fit for purpose solutions

for all types of UBD/MPD including foam drilling, air/mist drilling, mud-cap and flow

drilling. MPDS s vision is to provide a one stop shop to support all areas of UBD/MPD projects including Project Management, Engineering, Training and Equipment

Supply. An outline of our company structure is shown below.

Project Management

MPDS s Engineers have successfully managed numerous technically challenging

projects from start to finish to ensure on time and on budget results. All

aspects of the project are considered and resourced appropriately including budget

preparation, contracting, equipment mobilisations, safety studies, work programs,

training, implementation and project close-out. We can either work remotely or in

house liaising with all stakeholders in the project including the Asset Team, Drillingand Completions, Procurement and EH&S Departments.

Engineering

MPDS provides UBD/MPDS based on solid engineering principals and uses

computer hydraulic simulation software to model and predict outcomes. We are

able to conduct technical and economic feasibility studies and specify equipment

requirements, detailed programs and procedures to achieve the projects

objectives. Additionally, our Engineers can facilitate HAZID / HAZOP and Risk

Assessment studies and close out all action items prior to implementation. Typically,

the Engineer who has designed the UBD/MPD system will provide on-site support

and supervision during the implementation phase and provide the client with an End

of Well Report.

Training

MPDS offer a comprehensive training program which includes formal training

at basic or advanced levels as required for office based staff as well as on-site

competency based personnel training.

Equipment

MPDS has invested in new equipment to support all UBD/MPD

operations including Rotating Control Devices (RCDs) built and

tested to API Spec 16RCD. Our fluid injection equipment includes

advanced air handling features with mist pumps that can supply a

range of injection rates and pressures while complying to API Spec

RP 54 and hazardous area requirements. A complete suite of

UBD parameter metering is also provided to ensure optimum

operability and post job analysis.

Should the optimum UBD/MPD equipment configuration

be unavailable, MPDS can custom design and

manufacture equipment to suit our clients specific

application. And as our equipment and personnel

are available locally, prolonged and expensive

mobilizations are not necessary.
