The MP9-N can be made mission specific by incorporating any of the accessories that B&T produces.

The B&T MP9-N holster is the world’s most versatile, secure and comfortable carry system for any PDW in production. The weapon is held securely until deployed by pressing the release button with the trigger finger. The unique patented carry system is available in both left and right handed models. It is available in the three models listed below and another for mounting on a MOLLE vest.

MP9-N A1 – This is the standard configuration of the MP9-N which incorporates the molded vertical handgrip and folding stock.

MP9-N A2 – This configuration is delivered with the molded vertical handgrip and fixed stock. The fixed stock provides a very stable firing platform and makes the MP9-N only 50 cm in length. The standard folding stock can be retrofitted by any operator on the MP9-N in about 2 minutes.

MP9-N A3 – This model features the standard folding stock and a NATO Accessory Rail under the barrel in lieu of the vertical handgrip. This model is most used by close protection teams in combination with the B&T holster carrying system.

MP9-N A4 – This configuration combines the stable fixed stock and horizontal NATO Accessory Rail. This version is best used with a Tactical light mounted on the rail.

Accessories

1. High-Ride Concealment Holster – This holster rides high on the operator’s hip. It is ideal for close protection and discreet escort use.

2. Duty Holster – This holster is most comfortable for daily use and enables the operator to enter and exit a vehicle quickly and with minimal obstructions.

3. Tactical Thigh Holster – This holster is the choice of most special operators as it provides the most comfortable carry platform and quickest deployment when wearing a tactical uniform and gear.

4. Suppressor – B&T started life as a producer of firearm suppressors and the tradition continues with the QD (Quick Detachable) MP9-N Suppressor. The suppressor provides reduction of 33 dB when using modern subsonic ammunition. It weights a mere 600 grams and comes complete with an integrated NAR (NATO Accessory Rail) for mounting an IR or Visible Laser directly under the axis of the barrel.

5. Helmet Stock and Brass Catcher – The adjustable Helmet Stock will enable an operator to fire the MP9-N accurately and comfortably while enjoying the full protection of the ballistic visor or when using a gas mask. The QD Brass Catcher will enable the operator to collect the expended shell casings. The unique pivot design enables the operator to clear malfunctions or jams quickly and easily without removing the brass catcher from the rail.

6. Discreet Carry & Firing Bag – This fiendishly designed bag appears to be a normal laptop bag from the outside. In reality it is an actual firing platform that enables the operator to shoot the MP9-N with the suppressor and brass catcher mounted without having to remove it from the bag. It is ideal for close protection, surveillance and undercover operations.

The MP9-N is also the most compact submachine gun on the market today: With the stock folded, the weapon is just 303 mm long, when open, the stock

produces a stable firing position with an overall length of just 523 mm. It fires from the closed bolt and thus has all the benefits of accuracy, safety and stability enjoyed by all weapons of that design. The operating system is a unique rotating barrel locking system, which means no gas tube to become clogged or locking pieces to loose. It is a very clean weapon to shoot; tests have been done when over six thousand rounds have been fired before functioning was affected. It is also a very safe weapon in the event of an obstructed barrel – no gas or debris will exit the cham-ber. There are three safeties incorporated into the weapon. These are the manual safety, the firing pin safety and the

Training

The MP9-N system is also ready for Training for the Real World® by already having a 9 mm FX version ready for use. Many other submachine guns and all the current PDWs firing unique calibers have no FX kits available. Operators with the MP9-N can train with exactly the same weapon as they carry in service. The Red or Manipulation version is a completely safe model of the MP9-N that cannot be made to fire live ammunition and serves as a training aid for defensive tactics and manipulation training.

A word about the 9 mm cartridge as a PDW caliber: The most widely found type of ammunition in the world today is of course the 9 mm Luger. It is estimated that the 9 mm cartridge is produced in over 50 countries worldwide. The quantities cannot easily be estimated but it is not unreaso-nable to say in the billions… In the multi-national environ-ment of ongoing peacekeeping operations the sharing of resources among partners is critical to the successful completion of the mission. Having a weapon that fires a unique, non-standard caliber is logistically unwise. That is why the MP9-N has been designed to fire virtually all types of 9 mm ammunition found in the world today. This ranges from the light weight but high velocity 85 grain bullet to the much heavier yet slower 158 grain subsonic. This range also includes frangible, all hollow points, monobloc and of course all types of armour piercing projectiles.

Manual Safety/Fire Selector

The MP9-N features a 3-position ambidextrous fire mode selector. The rotating lever provides a distinctive selection of safe, single fire and burst fire mode.
