About the Event-MP Tech Innovation Challenge 2017

Innovation is considered to be the key to Entrepreneurship. Innovation is the

specific tool of entrepreneurs, the means by which they exploit change as an

opportunity for a different business or a different service. One of the most

common forms of innovation is the creation of new product. The new

product mayexploit an established technology orit may be the outcome of a

whole new technology. This spirit of innovation needs to be fostered in the

students at an early stage. Keeping the same context, Confederation of

Indian Industry (CII), Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) and

Young Indians (YI), Bhopal chapter is organizing a revolutionary event

named “Madhya Pradesh Tech Innovation Challenge 2017” to inculcate

the sense of Innovation and Entrepreneurship among technical students.

Themes of the Competition: Highlighting unique solutions/ innovations/

new product ideas which can solve any of the current challenges/ problems

of our country in the following areas:

Smart Cities Renewable Energy Automotive and Traffic

Management Waste Management Innovations for Rural India

Other specific details of M.P Tech Innovation Challenge 2017:

Target Audience: All affiliated Institutions of RGPV running UG & PG

Courses

How to apply: Log on to www.rgpv.ac.in. Click on the link “Download

Proforma for application for MP Tech Innovation Challenge 2017”. Fill

the Proforma and email it to prashant.gupta@cii.in by the deadline.

Attach any supporting documents also along with the email. The

subject matter of email should be strictly titled as : “MP Tech

Innovation Challenge_(Institution Name)_(City

Name)_(Theme under which applying)”

Timeline for the Activity:

Launch of Event – 10th of August 2017

Last date for Entry for write ups(1st Round)-05th September 2017

Declaration of results of 1st round-23rd September 2017

Final Presentation and Demo- First week of Oct 2017 at RGPV

University Auditorium

Rules for the event:

Only UG and PG students of RGPV affiliated Institutes are allowed to

participate in this event.

Only One team from one Institute is permitted.

Team size should not consist of more than 4 team members.

The entries should be strictly in given format only. Any other format

would not be entertained. The Faculty in charge should send the

entries to CII.

Parameters on which shortlisting/final evaluation would be done:

-Uniqueness of idea

-Problem identified for solving and its magnitude

-Scalability of idea, Technical Aspects and prospects for

commercialization

-Presentation of the idea and team work involved

Prizes for M.P Tech Innovation Challenge,2017:

First Prize- Rs.21000 Second Prize-Rs.11000 Third Prize-Rs.5000

All the finalists will be awarded with a certificate

The Winners will get a chance to participate in Dream Start-Up

Challenge and Start Up Expo organized by CII and Young Indians later

in the year
