Transition – How can you help your child?

Show them how to do things for themselves. Encourage your child to read part of their book by themselves then continue with your paired reading.Teach your child to dress and undress into different kits, including footwear, quickly and neatly.Make sure your child can tie their shoe laces.Learning to tell the time.

Making a start now…… Communication with your child. Tell them what

activities they have, how they are getting home, because there is no TA in each Y3 classroom to organise your child. Tell the BUS OFFICE of their travel home arrangements and cc the class teacher of any changes.

Have a routine at home where your child puts their reading book so they know where to put and then find things independently.

Begin to unpack and pack their own schoolbag.
