K2 Systems stands for secure connections,
high quality and precisely manufactured
and exact fit components. Our customers
and business partners have known that for
a long time. Three independent authorities
have tested, confirmed and certified our
competencies and components.
However, we do not just rely on external
authorities. Our internal quality assurance
standards ensure that all components
manufactured by us undergo an extensive
testing process. This leads to the high
quality standards of the K2 Systems, which
we achieve, in part, by almost completely
implementing only „Made in Germany“ or
„Made in Europe“. Our customers can rely
on our high quality, and they appreciate that
we offer a 12 year manufacturer‘s warranty
on all our components.
K2 Systems quality has four certifications
The TÜV Rheinland Group first tests a representative product selection on the basis of specific criteria. So that the certificate does not only represent a snap-shot, TÜV employees then monitor the manufacturing sites of the company at regular intervals and check whether the products manufactured there match the examined test samples.
K2 Systems has been certified by TÜV Rheinland AG with the testing standard ISO 9001:2008 in the sector of development, manufacture and distribution of solar mounting systems. Our quality management system (QM system) was thus validated by an independent body. Our endeavour to continuously improve in all our internal and external activities is now subject to on-going external control by the TÜV testing laboratory.

The VDE Prüf-und Zertifizierungsinstitut GmbH is a national and international testing and accreditation institute for the testing and certification of electronic equipment, components and systems. The safety, electromagnetic compatibility and further features of these products are tested.

The selection is characterised among other
things by a clear product range – an advan-
tage which originates from the modular
structure of K2 Systems. The five product
groups mounting rails, roof attachements,
module clamping, screws & nuts, system
components and accessories are all essen-
tial system components.
Each of the systems can be combined and
used in all locations and conditions of the
respective snow and wind load zones.
We use aluminium and stainless steel for
most of our components. That guarantees
high resistance to corrosion, durability and
provides customer satisfaction.

On roof – the classic design The most frequently used roof covering on gable roofs are roof tiles and corrugated asbes-
tos cement sheets. The variety of gable roofs however is almost infinite. As a result of many
years of experience, the K2 Systems product line covers virtually all existing types of roofs
for these traditional roofing assemblies.
Plus, our product range covers the many special versions of roof hooks for tiles as well as
hanger bolts for corrugated asbestos cement sheets. Of course, high quality is also a priori-
ty for K2 Systems as far as materials and craftsmanship is concerned, since the connection
to the roof must withstand all weather conditions.
The appropriate railing system for this purpose, the K2 SolidRail can be combined with all
classic K2 roof fasteners and is characterised by its easy installation and flexibility. Typical

On-roof – the extraordinary options
K2 Systems has developed a remarkable mounting system especially for pantiled roofs: the
K2 System CrossRail. The K2 CrossHook developed alongside does not require any locking
nuts. Using the corresponding K2 Climber bracket the K2 CrossRail is simply fixed to the K2
CrossHook with only one bolt from the top. This saves installation time and reduces com-
ponents and is unbelievably practical.
For trapezoidal sheet metal roofs there are different solutions available: for example the K2
MiniRail. Only 40cm long sections of an innovative rail profile with pre-assembled universal
module clamps are used for fastening the modules.
The K2 MiniRail System is installed only from the top into the outer layer of the roof shee-
ting. Simple system components allow quick and economical installations. The universal K2
FlexClamp is suitable for all standard module frame heights from 35mm to 50mm. Thanks
to the modular concept all system sizes and module orientations are possible. Delivered in
small boxes reduces freight charges considerably.

Flat roof
When mounting solar systems on flat roofs, two requirements are of paramount
importance: the impermeability of the roofing and the stability of the mounting system.
The non-penetrating K2 elevation systems meet both requirements.The individually
calculated elevation triangles of the K2 Triangle System as well as our innovative low
ballast single and double-sided elevations, the K2 S-Dome and K2 D-Dome Systems, are
our response to the various requirements of flat roofs and the need for cost efficiency.
The D-Dome System was named after its flat, double-sided elevation for all orienta-
tions. Minimal row distances due to no shading issues allow many more modules on a
flat roof which increases the possible electricity generation. The S-Dome System instead
is a south-facing elevated system. Windbreakers on the back side of the rows ensure
aerodynamic efficiency. Both systems were tested in a wind tunnel. Both systems are
modular, cost-effective and extremely easy to mount, as are all K2 Systems.
There are various options for ballasting the K2 Dome systems. For instance standard
concrete blocks or bricks can be placed on the K2 Scale ballast tray.Simple and sophisti-

Solar Farms
Using concrete bases, screw-in or pile driven foundations the K2 ground mounted systems
can be installed on almost any ground and soil - also on conversion sites.
K2 Systems currently offers three different types: the N-Rack System, the T-Rack System
and the N-Rack System Mono. All designs allow large spans between racks of up to 5 m.
During the design stages we focus on structural safety. Utilizing structural analysis software
we can design them project-specific. Every system is optimised to meet the wind and snow
loads and conditions at a location as well as the geological composition of the ground. Our
systems are just as flexible as your requirements.
