Give the name and address of the owner of the vehicle you are driving if it does not belong to you

Produce your Certificate of Motor Insurance to the police or to anyone who has reasonable grounds for requiring you to produce it

Report the accident to the police as soon as possible and in any case within 24 hours of the accident.

If after stopping you do not give your name and address or are not able to produce your certificate of motor insurance then you must:

DO GET DETAILS OF:The name and address of the other driver (or drivers) and the

Give your name, address and registration number of your car to anyone who has reasonable grounds for requiring this information

The name and address of the owner of each vehicle ifdifferent from the driver

The insurance particulars of every driver and vehicle

The names, addresses and telephone numbers ofany witnesses

DO MAKE A NOTE OF:

All road names, signs, markings and lighting etc

The apparent damage to the other vehicle(s)

The details of any police officer who attended the scene
