What do Mother Na-
ture and the 1972 Dol-
phins have in common?
Both are undefeated.
When I left the building
Tuesday, I jokingly
said; “see you Mon-
day”. Over the next
few days I answered a
ton of emails, got
caught up on paper-
work, and began plan-

This flexibility allowed
us to get back to work.
Girls basketball notched
a big win, we have a
new County Record
holder in the pool, a duo
of wrestlers had an
awesome tournament,
and despite a lack of
rehearsal time, The Cru-
cible did not disappoint.
You still have Monday
and Tuesday to see it
live before a weekend
full of sports. GO

Here is the schedule for the next few weeks...

Tournament this weekend at Creekview. Congratulations to Alex Hewgley on his 4th
place finish and to Jake Piccirilli for his 3rd place finish at the Burnt Mountain Classic.
Our team will be competing Friday and Saturday this weekend, and several of our boys
have a chance to head to the State Tournament.

“I speak my own sins; I cannot judge another. I have no tongue for it…”
I love The Crucible. It’s great to read, fun to teach, and even more fun to discuss. Our kids have really
done a great job dealing with a ton of unexpected setbacks and pulled together a great show. Find
some time Monday or Tuesday to come out and watch how talented our kids are, and how well Mr.
Fields directs them.
Off the Blocks Quickly...
Our Swim team had a great week as we prep for the State Meet next weekend. Congratulations to sophomore Alex Blankinship for breaking the county record in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 22.15! He also broke the school record in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 48.37. Freshman Sarah Brown placed first in both of her indi-vidual events at the county invitational meet. Brown swam a 2:09.07 in the 200 yard IM & a 1:06.18 in the 100 yard breaststroke! Finally, congratulations to our swimmers of the week at our county invitational meet! Kelly Broadwell, Mackenzie Stulack, & Dylan Banker! Thanks to Coach Goodbread, Coach Bulger and Coach Modrzynski for keep-ing me updated.
Hoops…
Our girls bounced back from a tough region loss with a well-played win against North Paulding Satur-
day. Lexi Palmer lead the charge, and our girls are now 13-5 as we finish up Region play. Our boys are
having some tough luck, but playing hard. We’re looking forward to them getting hot at the right time
with the Region tournament around the corner. Come out Friday and Saturday this week to watch our
basketball programs. Our girls made the trip to Athens this weekend to take in some SEC basketball.
Thing to Do and See…
You have several chances over the next couple of weeks to see many of our talented students perform.
Our drama department will be presenting The Crucible, and our students will have the chance to show-
case their talents in our Talent Show. Make some time to come out and support our kids.
