DeFeo, Jr. is strategic transactions lawyer with nearly three decades of experience in corporate finance, mergers & acqui- sitions, and cross-border transactions, most frequently for large-scale public and multinational companies. Over the past 29 years he has lead international teams on six continents, structuring public and private offerings of equity and debt and other corporate finance deals (from $25 million to $500 million) and leading numer- ous sophisticated cross-border deals (including the $3.3 billion merger of two multinational companies). Morris’s principal focus is on helping companies expand internationally through innovative ventures and alliances to better compete in the global marketplace, including numerous high-profile joint ventures and other strategic transactions in MENA, central Asia, Europe, South America and the Far East in the aviation, defense, manufacturing, healthcare, hospi- tality, power, private equity, real estate, technology, and telecommunications spaces. Based in Washington, D.C., Morris serves as a member of the Corporate and Transactions Department’s Steering Committee and the Head of the firm’s MENA Practice. Morris received his B.A., cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania in 1981 and his J.D. from the Boston University School of Law in 1984, where he was an Edward J. Hen- nessey Scholar and a G. Joseph Tauro Scholar. Morris a member of the Bars of Maryland and the District of Columbia.
