Prayer Can Release God’s Grace and Power
Into Our Neighorhood
Prayer gains access where people cannot go. Neighbors can
isolate themselves, closing their doors and their hearts. But
God can reach beyond these barriers—and he does so in
response to the prayers of His people.
When things happen in answer to
prayer in people’s lives-things that
cannot be explained by the nataural
laws of cause and effect - people
take notice. They begin to make
room in their view of the world for
a God who is living, active, and powerful. When belssings
come in answer to prayer, people begin to be aware of the
God who cares. God has gotten their attention.
Father God, I am continually astonished at the depth of Your
creativity and power in the midst of everyday life! Thank
you for the gift of intercession that allows me to knock on the
door of heaven on behalf of people who have yet to call upon
Your Name. Continually bring names and faces to my mind,
or into my path so that I might have the greatest privilege of
all – seeking Your face for their salvation. May my prayers
be the catalyst that enables lost people to turn their attention
to You. In the name of Your Son Jesus I pray. (Harvest Paryer Ministries)
