I thank you all for your flexibility given the unknowns we are confronted with each day. Hopefully, this second week of Phase 1 will go just as smoothly and we receive informaon about the full return to school. As soon as we receive the informaon we will pass it directly onto families. Our students seemed to be happy to be back with their friends and experience some normality. Although we have had some parents come in to pay their voluntary school contribuons, I would like to remind you that for 2020 we made the decision to waive the contribuons. Any contribuons already paid will be held in advance for the student meaning that the amount paid will then come off any payment of upcoming event or acvity i.e. excursion. Just a reminder that this Thursday 21st May at 5.30pm we will be holding a Wellbeing Meeng via Zoom for our Morgan Street community with Megan Shepherd - Learning and Support Teacher, Bree Turley - Senior Psychologist of Educaon and Karen Harding-Smith - Primary Health Care Registered Nurse Schools Based Service. A survey is available on Facebook to guide the session. Finally, I would like to thank our families for your connued work at home in partnership with the school. Your care and compassion cannot be quesoned. Learning at home is not the first choice for anyone. I hope to be able to provide further informaon soon about the full return but in the meanme, stay safe and connected. Have a wonderful week of learning! Learning for all at Morgan Street

We are now into the second week of Phase 1. I thank you all for your flexibility given the unknowns we are confronted with each day. Hopefully, this second week of Phase 1 will go just as smoothly and we receive information about the full return to school. As soon as we receive the information we will pass it directly onto families. Our students seemed to be happy to be back with their friends and experience some normality.

Although we have had some parents come in to pay their voluntary school contributions, I would like to remind you that for 2020 we made the decision to waive the contributions. Any contributions already paid will be held in advance for the student meaning that the amount paid will then come off any payment of upcoming event or activity i.e. excursion.

Just a reminder that this Thursday 21st May at 5.30pm we will be holding a Wellbeing Meeting via Zoom for our Morgan Street community with Megan Shepherd - Learning and Support Teacher, Bree Turley - Senior Psychologist of Education and Karen Harding-Smith - Primary Health Care Registered Nurse Schools Based Service. A survey is available on Facebook to guide the session.

Finally, I would like to thank our families for your continued work at home in partnership with the school. Your care and compassion cannot be questioned. Learning at home is not the first choice for anyone. I hope to be able to provide further information soon about the full return but in the meantime, stay safe and connected.

Have a wonderful week of learning!

Hopefully you have seen our staff’s ‘Blinding Lights Challenge’ video on our Facebook Page.

If you haven’t had a look yet check it out https://youtu.be/dyrLmepkL0Y.

Our staff is now putting the challenge out to all our families. If you have a go we would

love to share it. Please email your video to [email protected]

TECHNOLOGY PURCHASES We have just received a delivery of 30 new desktop computers. Twenty-four will be installed in the K-2 Computer Lab and six will replace the older ones in the 3-6 lab. These will be installed this week. Our K-2 students will certainly be looking forward to testing them out when classes resume as usual. We have also purchased some new laptops and charging stations for our Year 6 students. We have updated our iPads and purchased new apps, covers and charging stations for both sites.

5A Health Eating Posters

In health we have been learning about the five food groups; vegetables, fruits, dairy,

grains and protein. We have been learning about what’s healthy and what’s not. We

sorted Coles mini shoppers and stickies into their food groups. We learned that

some foods look really healthy but are actually unhealthy.

Here are own posters…….
