With aVIP night to start the activities, the shop saw Desperate Scousewives beauties, Layla Flaherty and Elissa Corrigan attend as well as former Apprentice candidate and beauty entrepreneur Jenna Whittingham. The evening saw guests celebrate with champagne and canapés while taking in everything sienna Xhas to offer, including celebrity spray tans by sienna X brand ambassador James Harknett. The shopwas a huge success, with lovely Liverpool ladies stopping by for spray tans and stocking up on siennaX throughout the weekend.

The last five years have seen designersand makeup artists increasinglyintegrating self-tan into the modelpreparation as part of their shows. Withso much flesh on display getting the rightskin finish is essential and can trulyenhance the look the designer wants toachieve. With makeup and hair alreadyplaying a big part towards the look andfeel of the show, skin finishing is the next step to achieving an overall style.

Before the show I meet with the designer and get an understanding of what they are looking to achieve and howit can complement their collection.

While the models look fantastic with abit of colour and highlighting on theskin, it’s vital that I’m extra vigilantwhen applying the tan and aware of the clothes at all times.

I can’t risk ruining a designer’scollection after they’ve put so muchhard work and effort into it. My role is to enhance and elevate thecollection by ensuring the models areflawless, all eyes should be on theclothing at all times.

Before you apply bronzer andhighlighter - it is important to even

out your skin tone as they won’t have thesame impact on blotchy or uneven skin.Even if you do not wear a lot of makeup, a hint of tinted moisturiser and concealerwill give a fresher look to the skin, inpreparation for your bronzer or highlighter.

To apply bronzer - begin with alight hand and build up slowly. Focus

on the areas that the sun would naturallyhit, such as the forehead, chin, jaw-line andthe tops of the cheeks. Remember, bronzeris not designed to give a block colour toyour face, just a hint of a tan and colour.Dust the remainder of the product downthe neck and along the décolleté for a morenatural look.

To apply highlighter - remember,less is more. Highlighters are
