The University has been established by the Government of Rajasthan, India vide Suresh Gyan Vihar

University, Jaipur, Act 2008 (Act no. 16 of 2008). The University is recognized under section 2(f) of the

UGC Act, 1956 and has been empowered to award degrees under section 22 of UGC Act. The University

Question paper will be printed in Hindi and English both language. Candidate can answer in any language.

All questions will be of multiple choice objective type carrying 2 marks. No marks will be awarded for questions not attempted. There is no negative marking. The paper will comprise of 4 sections with 120 questions in all. The number of questions in each section will be as follows:

Candidates who are applying for B.Tech in Biotehnology and Agriculture program have to choose Physics, Chemistry, English and either Mathematics or Biology sections. For other B.Tech/Dual Degree Programs candidate need to appear in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English sections.

The fee could be remitted in the following ways:Option 1: Through a bank demand draft, drawn in favour of SURESH GYAN VIHAR UNIVERSITY, JAIPUR, payable at Jaipur. The candidate's name, mobile number and program opted for should be mentioned legibly at the back of the Demand Draft.

Option 2: Through bank challan generated from GVSAT website to be deposited at any branch of Axis Bank across the country.

Option 3: User can also pay the fee through cash by paying the application fee at Finance Department of the University.

ü The application form should be filled by the candidate in his/her own handwriting in

capital letters only.

ü Please note that Your, Father’s and Mother’s name and date of birth should be exactly the same as

given in 10th Certificate/Marksheet.

ü Your application must be complete in all respects. An incomplete application or application filled

in a language other than English will be rejected. Options filled by you in the application form

cannot be changed at any later stage.

Online Examination Guidelines

ü The Admit Card for online and offline examination will be generated on the gyan vihar website

on given date.

ü Candidate should login for download the admit card by filling registration number/name and

mobile number.

ü The Admit card will be auto-generated for only those candidates whose form is successfully

submitted online or receive by post with required fee before the last date.

ü The Admit card will indicate the Admit card number, photograph of the student, address of the

test center, test date and time. Discrepancies, if any, must be brought to the notice of SGVU

immediately.

ü Candidates must provide valid email ID in the application form.

ü Candidates should take a print out of the e-Admit card using the print option.

ü Candidate should report to the selected test centre with Admit card, photocopy of the

application form and any one of the following for photo identification. Passport/ Driving License / Voter ID card PAN Card/ School or college Photo ID card/ 12th Standard Board Exam Hall ticket (or) Admit Card bearing photo

In the case of an eligible candidate, whose application form is incomplete (For example Declaration/Photograph not signed, photograph not affixed on the application form, address not clearly mentioned, invalid email id etc.) application fee not paid, application form not received in the University till last date. The application will not be processed for the issue of an Admit Card. SGVU does not take the responsibility to inform such candidates. Candidates are advised to check the application form thoroughly (online /offline) before posting.

Online examination will be centre based & the student has to select the preferable centre for examination. The candidate has to sit in front of a computer, which will be connected through the broadband internet connection. To take up the online examination the candidate needs to login with the user id and password that will be provided at the time of examination by centre in chargeü The computer is connected to the server, which delivers the encrypted test in real time

through a secure and reliable connection.ü Entrance test assumes that the candidate is well acquainted with using a computer.

It is the responsibility of the candidate to acquire these basic computer skills before appearing

for the entrance test, and the University cannot be held responsible for the same.

ü The candidates must ensure that the computer allotted to them is switched on and any problem with the computer should be brought to the knowledge of the invigilator, immediately.

ü The questions appearing on the screen will be in English and Hindi. All questions will be of Objective type Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) . Each MCQ consists of a stem which may be in the form of a question or an incomplete statement and four responses labeled A, B, C and D. Only one of the four responses is the correct answer. Each correct answer carries 2 marks. No negative marking. Candidate needs to choose the correct answer. Candidates can navigate freely through the questions back and forth.

Conventional paper & pencil based test will be done on the schedule date at the given examination centre. Candidate needs to visit the examination centre on the given examination date and time to appear in examination.

All the questions and instructions of the test will be in English and Hindi. All questions will be of objective type (multiple choice questions); each question will have four options, only one being the correct one. Each correct answer carries 2 marks. No negative marking.

For offline examination candidates should bring a Blue/Black ball pen for the purpose of rough work, signing etc. Blank sheets for rough work will be provided, if required. Calculators and Logarithmic Tables are not allowed at the test centers. Candidates are not allowed to bring any other personal belongings such as mobiles, books, notepad etc. in the examination hall.

Result will be published on the SGVU website as per given date schedule . Students can check their result by filling the Registration number or name and mobile number on the website. However due to any reason SGVU has full right to change the date of result declaration.

thA merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained for GVSAT – 2016 and 12 percentage.

Important Notes

ü Candidates must follow instructions strictly as given on the GVSAT website. Candidates not

complying with the instructions shall be disqualified.

ü Candidates can choose the examination mode online or offline at the time of application form filling

through online process or offline process.

ü Candidates must ensure that the application form along with original demand draft or University

Challan copy should reach to the GVSAT address on or before the last date of submission of

application. Even after the successful submission of online form or application form within due date,

if the application form does not reach the University on or before the last date or reaches without

the requisite fee, the application form of the candidate will not be considered.

ü Information regarding receipt of applications will be available on the GVSAT website.

ü Candidates who register for GVSAT-2016 examination will be instructed to download an 'ADMIT

CARD'. Candidates carrying a valid admit card, will be allowed inside the Test centers. Anyone

violating the rules of the test center will not be allowed to continue with the test and will

automatically be disqualified.

ü The University shall conduct the GVSAT in different cities. The final list of centers and actual days of

operation will be announced through the GVSAT website http://www.gyanvihar.org. The University

cannot guarantee that test centers will be set up in all these cities. Further, the Institute reserves the

right to cancel any Test center if any adverse situation arises.

ü The final list of the centers will be announced at GVSAT website after all the applications are

received.

ü The preferences of examination centers, opted by the candidate are only indicative to guide the

GVSAT for deciding the number of centers. The University cannot guarantee that you will get first

preference. Further, if the University is unable to allot any center of your choice, you will be allotted

a center at Suresh Gyan Vihar University, Jagatpura, Campus. The exact center where you will be

appearing for the test will be announced at GVSAT website.

ü The number of examination days will be estimated based on the total number of applications

received for the particular group of courses and the test centre choices given by the candidates in

the application form.

ü SGVU reserves the rights to reschedule the examination for a candidate. In rare and unlikely event of

a technical failure during the test, the candidate may be required to attempt the test again. The

candidate will not be charged any additional entrance exam fee if the re-schedule is initiated from

SGVU. However, the candidate has to make his/her own arrangement at their own cost similar to the

original schedule to take the test for the revised schedule.



Note: There is no provision to send the score card (hard copy) of the candidates (selected or otherwise) by post. Result and Merit list will be published on the SGVU website. It will be intimated through SMS and E-mail.

Since the results are processed with extreme care, there is no provision for scrutiny of result. The photocopies of the answer sheets will not be made available. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained.

Advance PaymentThe selected candidates will have to submit a DD for Rs. 15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand only) in favor of 'Suresh Gyan Vihar University', payable at Jaipur, on the confirmation of seat and acceptance of branch allotted. The amount will be adjusted in the tuition fees when the candidate joins the University. For confirmation of Admission candidates need to deposit the full fee by 30th July 2016 with all original documents.

Registration Fee Rs. 750/- will be charged to all selected Candidates for admission purpose.

Shortlisted candidates can attend the counseling in person at Suresh Gyan Vihar University, Mahal, Jagatpura, Jaipur on the given date. Candidate needs to join the counseling with Advance Payment

th ththrough DD and required documents (Photograph, 10 Mark sheet, 12 Mark sheet, and GVSAT Score Card).

If a candidate did not attend the counseling on given date, he / she cannot claim for the candidature. His / her seat will be allocated to next waitlisted candidates. However, due to unforeseen reasons, if a candidate is unable to attend the counseling on the specified date and time, he / she can attend on a subsequent time / date, after duly intimating the office, regarding this. But the candidate can only opt for the branch available at that time and cannot claim any other branch as per his / her original turn / seniority.

If the result of the qualifying exam has not been received before the date of counseling, the candidate would have to furnish an undertaking stating that if he/she fails to qualify as per the norms, it would lead him / her to forego his / her seat. B.Tech Admission in SGVU will be based on

Programs Eligibility for Admission

SGVU offers admissions in B.tech and Dual Degree program on the basis of GVSAT entrance exam. Admissions to other program will be made directly on the basis of minimum eligibility criteria given in the table below for which no entrance test is required. Merit List will be prepared on the basis of qualifying examination. Selected candidates will be called for counselling.

ü The candidate must obey the rules of the test centers; otherwise he/she will be automatically

debarred from the test.

ü All information and communications regarding GVSAT-2016 and admission to Gyan Vihar are made

available to the registered candidates on the Gyan Vihar website www.gyanvihar.org. Candidates

are advised to visit the website regularly for all related information on GVSAT and GyanVihar

admissions.

ü Appearing in GVSAT does not guarantee admission in SGVU.However, students who fulfill the

minimum eligibility criteria in qualifying examination and get the required score in GVSAT can be

admitted in SGVU.

ü Be present at the test centre as per the reporting time mentioned in the Admit card.

ü Register your name at the registration counter and carry the e-Admit card and a valid ID proof for

verification.

ü Sit at your allotted seat only. Maintain perfect silence and follow the instructions of Invigilator

incharge.

ü Sign the attendance sheet in the presence of invigilator.

ü Carrying of any text material, printed or written, bits of papers or any material except the e-Admit

card inside the test hall are not allowed.

ü Carrying of any electronic devices like mobile phones, paging devices, calculators, spy cameras &

music systems are not allowed.

ü Eating or drinking anything (snacks, tea, coffee and cold drinks etc.) inside the test hall are not

allowed.

ü Violation of any instruction and adoption of any unfair means in the test hall will make the

candidate ineligible for admission.

ü In all matters related to conduct of GVSAT-2016, the decision of the President of SGVU will be final.

ü All disputes pertaining to GVSAT-2016 shall fall within the jurisdiction of Jaipur city only.

Direct Admission Process1 Candidates can apply online at our website or can download the application form from our website or fill the application form attached with this booklet.

2. Fill the application form properly and send it by post alongwith required documents with the application fee Rs. 350/- whcih can be paid by DD in favour of Suresh Gyan Vihar University, Jaipur or by Challan deposited to Axis Bank across the country or by online payment using debit card/credit card/net banking or cash deposit at University finance department.

3. Incomplete application will not be accepted.

4. Candidates who are appearing in final year or whose result is awaited can apply for provisional admission.

5. After receiving the application candidate will get confirmation of application by e-mail/SMS.

6. Counseling session will be conducted by SGVU for provisional admission. Eligible candidates will be called for counseling on given date.

7. Registration Fee Rs. 750/- will have to be paid by all eligible candidates who are selected for admission.

8. Candidates need to prepare a Demand Draft of Rs. 15000/- in favour of Suresh Gyan Vihar University to attend the counseling with all original documents.

9. After attending the counseling and checking of documents , eligible candidates will get provisional admission letter.

10. Candidates who is appearing in final year or whose result is awaited can also attend the counseling by giving undertaking to fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria for provisional admission. Candidate if does not fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria after declaration of result their admission will be cancelled and fee will be refunded as per SGVU norms. 11. Candidates who have deposited the DD of Rs. 15000/- at the time of counseling. They have to pay the balance fee before 30th July 2016. All selected candidates will have to deposit the original documents of qualifying examination with TC and Migration for confirmation of admission.
