MOORING ANALYSIS AND DESIGN

GLOBAL MARITIME specializes in the design and analysis of catenary mooring systems primar-ily for the offshore oil and gas industries. Moorings of the utmost complexity have been successfully analysed using both quasi-static and full dynamic analysis solutions. Other mooring arrangements in-volving tautline and pile or fender restrained systems have been designed and analysed.

Typical applications have included:

• Design and analysis of multi-component multi-leg catenary systems for semi-submersible drilling rigs and accommodation platforms.

• Design and analysis of mooring systems for FPSOs, both fixed orientation and weather vaning (turret) systems.

• Provision of onboard computer systems for analysis and simulation of moorings and riser perform-ance.
