What is Moodle?

• Moodle is a virtual learning environment. It can be used as a depository of resources or as an interactive teaching tool.

• Moodle is available to all secondary schools

• Currently not available to all primary schools

Reasons for setting up PLC

• Some secondary schools are actively encouraging staff to use moodle to support independent study, as a teaching resource and also to provide help/information for parents.

• Paperless-past papers can be uploaded to moodle for pupils to access for practise.

• Needed more time to learn how to write a moodle course

It was easy to understand the

instructions.

I could do this at home.

It was fun – I enjoyed the different games.

I think it should have been

harder, more of a challenge.

I liked the quizzes. I

like getting things right.

I prefer to work on sheets.
