Montreal Fair’s Booth Requirements Any deviation from these requirements requires the consent of the Fair Management.

1. Booth setup will take place Wednesday, April 6, 2016. Beginning of January 2016, you will receive an email explaining how to choose your appointed arrival time.

2. All booths must be up and decorated by 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2016.

3. For aesthetic purposes and to ensure an overall cohesive look for the event, all exhibitors are

required to have a booth. Rigid walls, floor covering and lighting are mandatory.

Rigid walls:

a) Height 8 feet. Any items higher than the required height must be approved by the Fair Management.

b) All booth wall surfaces viewable by the public must be finished, i.e. painted or tastefully covered.

c) Promotional material, furnishings and decorative items, as well as products, cannot serve as partitions or walls, and must be installed on the inner side of the booth’s walls.

d) The use of curtains in lieu of walls is strictly forbidden. Curtains may only serve as decorative items, provided they are fireproof.

e) Exhibitors using half moon, popup or SpectraLight booths must comply

with the booth requirements specified above. In addition, they must ensure the back and sides of said booths are appropriately concealed.

Failure to adhere to this automatically authorizes the Management to bill the exhibitor for any fees incurred for covering up purposes. GES offers a

special package. Please see the GES special package order form for more information.

4. Items from your booth (carpeting, furnishings, display units, clothing racks, baskets, etc.) must remain

within the perimeter of your allotted space at all times, and never protrude onto the aisles.

5. You are not permitted to store anything inside or behind the booth. Dedicated areas in which to store your supplies will be made available daily. Please refer to the Fair floor plan.

6. Exhibitors are responsible for ensuring their respective booths comply with Place Bonaventure’s fire

prevention standards and rules as per Montréal fire department regulations. Please consult the appropriate literature on the subject.

7. Special requests respecting the appearance of a booth must be submitted to the Fair Management for

approval no later than thirty (30) days prior to the Fair’s opening, and must be accompanied by a supporting plan or drawing.

8. Exhibitors must comply with these requirements or rent a turnkey booth from GES Canada, the Fair’s official

decorator, at the rates in effect. The turnkey package order form is available online on the Fair’s website, in the Exhibitors section.
