Once your seedlings are mature enough, you can lift the bottle off, turn it upside down & push it into the dirt (neck down)close to the plant to use as a water spike to direct liquid fertilizers & water straight to the root area. THERE ARE 2 FORMS OF POTASH:

We use only Sulfate of Potash in our products. Sulfate of Potash is more expensive than muriate of potash but is considered beneficial to soil microbes and plant roots. It also does not contain the chloride that is in muriate of potash.

Sufficient potassium is essential for flowering and assists with creating sweet, firm fruit and helps ensure plants have a good shelf life. Potassium is soluble in soils but moves relatively slowly.

WHY IS POTASH IMPORTANT?Potassium (Potash, K) is a nutrient that is essential for vigorous growth, disease resistance, fruit and vegetable flavour & development and overall plant health. Whilst nitrogen promotes soft lush growth, potassium balances this effect to produce firm compact growth.

While it is drier & hotter, propagate some seedlings in egg cartons. Keeping them moist while germinating will require less water than if they were planted in the garden. When ready, cut up the egg carton & plant out each seedling with its little piece of egg carton and all. The egg carton will quickly break down & become one with the soil. Be careful to keep the water up to your vegies as the days become hotter. Water in the cool of the afternoon or evening to minimize loss through evaporation.
