But by the time she was 13, her natural talent was so pronounced she was front-ing a band that went on to play the blues circuit for the next decade. She may have started out singing the blues, but she also expresses love for European electronic acts like Daft Punk and The Knife.

Mellisa Morgan is a jazz pianist/singer/songwriter from Teaneck, New Jersey. She began studying piano at age four, and started singing with not only local choirs, but vocal groups across the country and abroad in high school. As a student she was recognized with numerous awards, including; three gold cups in New Jersey Federation of Music solo piano competition, top ranking in the New Jersey all-state choir, etc. Since graduating, she continues to follow her dream and regularly preforms at some of New York’s top jazz rooms. The name of her most recent album is Until I Met You.
