• Instead, fill out VA Form 22‐1995, the “Change Program/Place of Training” formProgram/Place of Training  form.

• Follow the instructions in the formFollow the instructions in the form.

• For Chapter 30 GI Bill, choose “Montgomery GI Bill Active Duty” from the checklistGI Bill – Active Duty  from the checklist.

• Fill out the form accurately and completely.

• When you have completed the form reviewWhen you have completed the form, review the final screen for errors or warnings.

• These must be corrected before submitting• These must be corrected before submitting the form, or it will not be processed.

– Or by using the Web Automated Verification of Enrollment (WA VE) which can be found on the GIEnrollment (W.A.V.E) which can be found on the GI Bill website at www.gibill.va.gov

• On the GI Bill website click on “InformationOn the GI Bill website,  click on  Information for Benefits Recipients”, and then select the “Certify Your Attendance (WAVE)” tabCertify Your Attendance (WAVE)  tab.

• Follow the instructions for logging in, and certify your attendancecertify your attendance.

• You must certify your attendance everyYou must certify your attendance every month. Failure to do this will result in an interruption in benefits paymentsinterruption in benefits payments.

• You will not be able to access the WAVE system until you have received your firstsystem until you have received your first payment.

• If you change the number of credits you areIf you change the number of credits you are taking, this must be changed in the WAVE systemsystem.
