Claudette Colvin

Colvin is the first woman arrested in Montgomery for refusing to give up her seat. She is only 15 years-old at the time.

Rosa Parks

E.D. Nixon

E.D. Nixon was the head of the Montgomery NAACP and one of the leaders of the Bus Boycott. His home was bombed along with Martin Luther King Jr. during the boycott.

Attorney Fred Gray

Fred Gray is the attorney that defends Rosa Parks in court. He later takes the case of the segregated buses to Federal Court.

Rufus Lewis

Rufus Lewis organized the carpool that helped keep the Montgomery Bus Boycott alive for more than a year.
