What Is Mononucleosis?

Mononucleosis is when you have a fever, sore throat, headaches, white patches on the back of your throat, feeling tired and not being hungry.

How Is Mono Spread?

It’s usually spreads through kissing and by coughing.

How Is Mono Diagnosed?

The test used to diagnose mono is called “Monospots Test” Sometimes blood tests are needed when results of the Monospots test aren’t clear.

• Rest

• Drink plenty of fluids

• If you have a sore throat, gargle with salt water or have a frozen

“Popsicle”

• You may want to relieve pain and feverby taking eitherTylenol, Advil or Motrin

Do You Need Antibiotics?

No Penicillin is no help to mono.
