    AN = una we use an when the noun starts writh a vowel(se usa an, cuando un sustantivo comienza con una

    vocal)

    Ex: a ice cream.

    A= un we use a when the noun starts writh a consonant.( Se usa a, cuando un sustantivo comienza con una

    consonante)

    Ex: a Car.

    NOUN PLURALS

    nouns ending in sound t p k have plural ending in sound S

    EX: map, tap, hat, goat, houpe, goat, mask, clock.

    Es o S

    1.- Si el sustantivo en singular termina en S, SH, CH, X o Z se agrega la terminacin ES. Tambin se agrega ES en la

    mayora de los casos en que la palabra termina en O. La razn es puramente fonolgica, o si no costara mucho

    pronunciar la palabra.

    Ejemplos:

    * mass - masses

    * brush - brushes* match - matches

    * box - boxes

    * potato - potatoes

    2.- En trminos generales, se agrega slo S para formar el plural de sustantivos terminados en otros sonidos.

    Ejemplos:

    * house - houses

    * plan - plans

    3.- En la mayora de los casos de palabras terminadas en Y, la Y se cambia por_I y despus se le agrega la terminacin

    Ejemplos:

    Nota: Hay excepciones a esta regla (e.g. cliff -cliffs) y tambin hay sustantivos que tienen dos posibles plurales (e.g. dwarf- dwarfs/dwarves).

    Existen tambin varios plurales irregulares como palabras de origen nrdico, griego, latino, etc. pero sa es otra historia

    as que slo te dar algunos ejemplos:
