Second seasonal edition of the STRANUOTATA, a 1.000 metres sea swimming race for junior and senior competitors. Start at 10.30am from the east dock of our beach, finish line at the west beach dock; the race course will be entirely supervised by our Lifeguard Team. The participation is free of charge, registrations at the Animation Office. NB - In the morning the animation activities will be suspended to permit the organization of the event.

Discover San Francesco del Deserto Island by boat

Today, the island can only be reached using private vehicles and it can only be visited on specific days and at specific times, and it is home to a small community of Minorites friars who live in an ancient convent complex surrounded by a wonderful garden where visitors can enjoy strolling through the greenery in silence. After visiting the island and sailing in the Lagoon amid the islands of Burano and Torcello, the tour takes you to the “Al Pescatore” restaurant in Treporti. “Here, visitors can take a break and enjoy a snack made with typical local produce accompanied by a glass of delicious wine! Morning tour Departure at 9 am from Piazza Cavallino, “Laguniamo” station. Visit to the convent offered by the friars (guided tour in Italian only, with leaflet in various languages. Free donations). Departure from the island at approx. 11 am and sailing along the lagoon, you will reach the “Al Pescatore” restaurant in Treporti at around 11:30. Expect to return along the San Felice canal to Piazza Cavallino at 1 pm to return the boat and go back to Union Lido. Afternoon tour Departure at 3 pm from Piazza Cavallino, “Laguniamo” station. A boat tour to discover the most spiritual part of the Venetian Lagoon, San Francesco del Deserto island. Legend would have it that the island situated between Sant’Erasmo and Burano was home to Saint Francis of Assisi for a brief period of spiritual retreat in 1220.

UNION LIDO SHUTTLE SERVICE

The transport service inside the resort is assured by two free vehicles and gives the chance to all our Guests to comfortably reach all the zones of Union Lido and Italy Camping Village. These two vehicles can also contribute to reduce inner traffic and raising safety along the Union Lido streets. IMPORTANT: - The shuttle service is reachable ONLY at the indicated stops. - Children under 12 can access the service only if with an adult. - The minimum way of each train line is about 30 minutes In the map the three transport lines, drawn in distinct colours with. VERONA AND THE GARDA LAKE

Departure by tourist bus from Lido di Jesolo in front of the Hotel Alexander at Piazza Nember at 7.30pm; Arrival in Verona around 11.00am. In Verona, guided walking tour through the historic centre for about one hour, with the following itinerary: Piazza Bra with the Arena of Verona, one of the largest Roman amphitheatres, Piazza delle Erbe, Piazza dei Signori (Loggia, Reggia degli Scala), the medieval Palazzo del Comune and the gothic Arche Scaligere (the Scala family tombs). Finally, a short visit to the one which is, according to popular tradition, Juliet's house. In about 30 minutes we will then be in Sirmione, where there will be free time to visit the city, such as the Scaliger Castle with the drawbridge or the caves of Catullus (the remains of a grand Roman residence. Sirmione was well-known and appreciated for its climate and its beauties). Departure from Sirmione at 4.00pm and arrival at about 7.00pm in Jesolo in front of the Hotel Alexander in Piazza Nember.
