Last year, we were fortunate to launch a program exclusive to our school - BOLT, which stands for Building Our Library Togeth-

er. This program aims to build on the amount of books in a child’s “library” at home. At Warwick East we value reading and

the important role reading plays in many aspects of our learning and development, across all curriculum areas.

This term, through the BOLT program, we are able to gift each student a book to take home and keep. Your child may be able

to read this book by themselves, or you may like to read it to them. The important message here is to foster a love of books

and reading. The BOLT books will have a BOLT label inside the cover, so you can easily identify that this book is for your child

to keep at home.

Previously, we have been fortunate to have been offered discounts from a variety of publishers and donations from local busi-

nesses to fund this program. Once again we are calling on businesses to offer their support, so we are able to continue this

wonderful program throughout the year. So if you know of a business or an individual/family, who would love to give a dona-

tion, no matter how great or small, please contact either Mrs Bruton, Ms Clarke or see the admin staff in the office for more

details. Thank you and we hope your child enjoys their new book for this term!
