CRYPTERA MPS – MODULAR PAYMENT SOLUTION

The Cryptera MPS offers a range of individual secure payment components, for the customer to mix and choose the most flexible and user friendly configuration for its payment environment.

The Cryptera MPS is designed to provide kiosk manufacturers the ability to customize their payment interface with the latest secure payment technology.

Our focus is to provide EMV approved contactless technology to our customers and give them the quickest way possible for tailored new installations and retrofit of existing installations.

Cryptera’s Modular Payment Solution consist of:

CRYPTERA’S NFC PAYMENT CONTROLLER

Our NFC Payment Controller is a 2-in-1 module, a payment controller with NFC functionality. It’s main function is to host a Payment Application and provide secure communication between the various HW components of the payment solution – this assures that sensitive data and PIN codes are protected according to PCI, and therefore reduces the scope for a QSA performing a PCI DSS validation.

The integrated NFC functionality allows your kiosks to accept contactless payment with either physical cards or mobile wallets.

The NFC Payment Controller includes a Software Development Kit (SDK) enabling partners to develop payment applications for Cryptera’s secure payment platform.

The HW & SW platform

With a high performance MPU, the Cryptera multizone platform has been designed with a Trusted Security Zone & High Security Zone

High Security Zone holds Cryptera firmware, Cryptography and Key Management

Trusted Security Zone holds Linux and signed 3rd party SW (the Payment Application)

This implementation minimizes re-certifications as the secure parts are in an area restricted for changes – the High Security Zone.

Other NFC functionality can be enabled later, i.e. The NFC Payment controller can also be used as a payment controller only.

Both products, NFC Payment Controller and NFC Reader, has the same footprint. It gives you the possibility to start using our NFC reader and add more functionality if you need to upgrade it with payment controller functionality.

Our NFC Reader module supports contactless payment. Assuming that you already have a payment application running on a controller or a PC, you can upgrade your payment system to support contactless payment by including our NFC Reader. The NFC Reader is used as a USB device in a Kiosk or ATM.

THE IMPLEMENTATION OF CRYPTERA’S MODULAR PAYMENT SOLUTIONThe individual components in the Modular Payment Solution can be chosen depending on the requirements for the payment scheme and the specific kiosk design. Components can be mounted independently to allow freedom when designing the user interface of the kiosk.

The security is enabled by establishing encrypted links between the components. The installation procedure handles the exchange of encryption keys required for secure operation. The encryption protects PIN codes as well as sensitive data when exchanged between the components during a transaction.

SECURITY & STANDARDSThe Cryptera MPS meets the international security standards including PCI PTS with SRED and Open Protocol. The NFC Payment Controller facilitates PCI PA-DSS and DSS compliance, and the card readers are TQM certified.
