HISTORY
ANSCHÜTZ factory in Ulm, Germany
1856 The son of the gunsmith Johann Heinrich Gottlieb Anschütz, Julius Gottfried Anschütz founded the company J.G. ANSCHÜTZ for the manufacture of Flobert and pocket pistols, Teschings, shotguns and Lancaster Terzerole in Zella-Mehlis, Thuringia.
1896 The small workshop moved to the first own factory building. The company has 76 employees.
1901 The founder of J.G. ANSCHÜTZ dies. His sons Fritz and Otto continue their father̀ s lifework.
1906 The company grows. In 1909 the company has175 employees a number which will grow to 200 in the next five years.
1923 Otto Anschütz dies. Fritz Anschütz continues the company. He is supported by his two sons Max and Rudolf Anschütz, the third ANSCHÜTZ generation.
1935 After the death of Fritz Anschütz the sons Max and Rudolf Anschütz continue the company. The number of employees grows to 550.
1945 Shut-down and complete dismantling and expropriation of the factory.
1950 A new beginning in Ulm. The companyJ.G. ANSCHÜTZ GmbH is founded. The company has 7 employees and 20 machines. In the beginning they make air pistols and carry out repair works, then they start to manufacture Flobert and target rifles. Soon the company has 250 employees. The first target shooting successes come in. Then everything goes very fast.
1968 Dieter Anschütz, representing the 4th generation takes over the management of the company. He leads the company with competence and a lot of personal engagement.
1972 After the overwhelming success of the ANSCHÜTZ Match Rifle the slogan „Die Meister Macher“ was created and it is still valid.
1992 Jochen Anschütz becomes president of the company and is now leading it together with his father.
2006 The company celebrates its 150th anniversary.
2008Jochen Anschütz, representing the 5th generation, takes over the sole management of J.G. ANSCHÜTZ in Ulm. Dieter Anschütz retires on March 31, 2008.
2012ANSCHÜTZ shooters were extremly successfull at the games in London. TodaySince it̀ s foundation, ANSCHÜTZ stands for innovation and perfection.
This has not changed through the years. ANSCHÜTZ products enjoy an extraordinary and worldwide reputation because of their precision, workmanship and accuracy. This is what president Jochen Anschütz and his team - continuing the tradition - puts as a benchmark for the future, to ensure that the long history of ANSCHÜTZ continues to give good memories far into the future.

The target single stage trigger has always set the standard for quality, reliability and precision.
The light weight, hardened and finely ground trigger components facilitate fast and consistent trigger release.
The trigger weight can be adjusted anywhere between approx. 1,500 g (3.3 lbs) and 2,500 g (5.5 lbs) and is set to approx. 1,800 g (4.0 lbs) in the factory.

ANSCHÜTZ MSR RX 22™ANSCHÜTZ target rifles are known worldwide for their accuracy, precise construction and unmatched shooting perfor-mance. The excellent characte-ristics that allowed ANSCHÜTZ sporting equipment to dominate national and international com-petitions such as the biathlon since 1856 can also be found in the new ANSCHÜTZ semi-automatic precision rifle with a .22 l.r. caliber. The MSR RX 22TM is a joint development by three German companies: ANSCHÜTZ, GERMAN SPORT GUNS and ESC Ulm.
The goal of this cooperation was to develop and produce a highly accu-rate semi-automatic rifle with excellent shooting performance that is suitable for the dynamic disciplines as well as precision shooting. The resulting product is an all-round sports device for discerning customers.
The ANSCHÜTZ MSR RX 22TM model is a modern small-caliber, self-loading rifle with a .22 l.r. caliber. It contains a force-locking blowback action with a hammer lock. This rifle system made by GeRMAN SpORT GUNS is well known, sophisticated and has been sold 150,000 times.
The MSR RX 22TM uses an ANSCHÜTZ target barrel as well as a high-quality trigger system with an adjustable trigger weight from approx. 1,500 g – 2,500 g (3.3 lbs – 5.5 lbs).
During development and design, care was taken to ensure that all operating elements are installed on both sides of the rifle. This ensures equally good operation for left- and right-handed shooters.
BARRELThe barrels are manufactured accor-ding to the same ANSCHÜTZ special button-rifled process, used for the manufacture of the world-famous ANSCHÜTZ target barrels.
The same also applies to the manu-facturing process of the chamber.

The foldable plastic butt stock allows for individual and step-wise adjustment of length and height. Optionally, the rifle can also be ordered with a non-foldable butt stock at no additional charge.
The shaft has been fitted with three-part picatinny rails. This combination provides for the use of commercially available accessories such as light modules, bipods and rifle slings.

PRECISION and PRECISION BLACK models – Modern Sporting Rifles with top precision.
The non-foldable wooden butt stock is suitable for attaching a clamping unit (Item No.: 009279). This allows for the use of different butt plates in the ANSCHÜTZ product range (e.g. hook or rubber butt plates) with a length-adjustable butt plate extension that can be adapted to the individual shooter (see page 10 and 11).
The front of the wooden stock consists of three elements. An UIT-rail at the front provides the option of attaching accessories such as hand stops, bipods or sling swivels for rifle slings.
Included accessories:Sights (rear sight and front sight), 10-shot magazine, cleaning materials, tools, operating instructions, rifle case for transport.

1 The cocking lever can be used on both sides in one of the three insertion holes. This provides 6 possible posi-tions for the cocking lever.

The accurate and always consistent shooting performance that is guaran-teed by the ANSCHÜTZ precision barrels and intricate construction gua-rantee top gunsmith quality at high-tech level, MADe IN GeRMANY.
3 The semi-automatic rifle has a safety lever (which acts on the trigger) and a drop safety lock (which acts on the firing pin).
4 The frame is made of aluminum and the anodised finish gives the rifle a very noble appearance.
The ANSCHÜTZ MSR RX 22TM is cur-rently available in six versions. The pReCISION and pReCISION BLACK models have a fixed, non-foldable woo-den butt stock.
5 This provides sports shooters in precision disciplines with the option of using different butt plates (hook or rubber) with a length-adjustable butt plate extension that can be adapted to the individual shooter.

We use the results and experience of IPSC shooters in the development and optimisation of innovative sports rifles.
We have exposed the MSR RX 22TM to the same extensive tests as our hunting, biathlon and target rifles to provide our customers with a sophisticated product.
We have used the knowledge and experience of Dirk Frey, one of the most successful sports shooters (dynamic disciplines).
Once the MSR RX 22TM had passed the internal ANSCHÜTZ test procedures, the rifle was extensively tested by Dirk Frey under realistic weather and shooting sport conditions in the respective disciplines. The experience gained was integrated into the development process.
