Background

to Avanti

Avanti Communications Group (“Avanti”) operates a fleet of Kaband satellites in GEO orbit, plus in construction and planning additional satellites. Over US$ 1.2 billion capital deployed.

o HYLAS-1 launched in November 2010 to serve inter-alia Europe.

o HYLAS-2 launched in August 2012 to serve inter-alia Europe, Middle East & Africa.

o ARTEMIS (acquired from ESA) on January 2014 with Ka band & EGNOS payloads.

o HYLAS-3 will launch in 2017 to serve inter-alia EMEA region.

o HYLAS-4 will launch in Q1 2017 to service inter alia EMEA region.

Avanti is also moving into West Africa with more Ka-band capacity in the near future
