• The objectives are:– Getting better understanding for this transition in this community– Discussing draft proposal for the transition plan (number part)

• Agenda– Introduction of IANA stewardship transition (by Paul Wilson)– Draft proposal (by Akinori Maemura)– A gap in current contracts between ICANN and NRO (by Craig Ng)– Discussion (Moderated by Masato Yamanishi)

The concepts are accepted -> continue discussion for more details until Dec

Other major points

• Other 4 RIRs will also discuss this topic until Dec and outcomes will be compiled in NRO

• The relationship between ICANN and RIRs is a partnership, not a customer-supplier

• Synchronization with other Internet communities in AP region, in particular APTLD, will be needed, once the proposal will become firm
